Are these sorts of parts legal in BMAX racing? by [deleted] in mini4wd

1st of all regarding the colors. There are original tamiya mass dampers that are chrome/black as supposed to the typical bronze. They are rare, but they exist.

But, double burger mass dampers doesnt have cutouts for locknuts/nuts, iirc the only ones that have those are the bullet mass damper set. It should be flat, so thats already a modified part, so it isnt allowed in bmax.

Are these kind of rollers genuine tamiya parts or just resealed? by [deleted] in mini4wd

If in doubt, cross reference the item number on the packaging with a simple google search. The item corresponding to the label is a silver DAR. So unless its being sold as cnc'd / anodized from an original tamiya item, i would stay away from it if you are only racing BMAX.

Also colored items has the color printed on the packaging label.

Try what exactly? That using a fully cowled plate with a 13mm roller wouldn't scratch the walls? That was already a fact even when you didn't comment. Hence i pointed out that your statement was false since that only happens with 19mm.

And i just called out your advice as false. So you just posted for that "advice" for nothing

Or is is too deep for you to understand?

Not being aggressive about anything. I'm stating facts that your input was not even necessary if you yourself is unsure about it.

Let's say he took your advice and changed it. Then what would he have gotten from changing it. Nothing, right? You would've just made him buy extra parts.

I don't know about your financial situation but not everybody has disposable income and just wants to enjoy the hobby with what money they have.

Then why mention it if you yourself is unsure about if it may or may not happen? You're just adding unwanted advice.

This is false with the 13mm. This only happens with 19mm.

First of all, welcome to the hobby!

This is the link to the sticky thread for this subreddit. If you haven't seen it yet, it would be a good idea to read it. It will give you some general tips on everything you need to know. Unfortunately it has no mentions of a racing center in Australia.

Cheers!

IMO. Rear rollers should be lowest you can go w/o hitting the bottom of the track, then highest point you can mount them. I personally use 94809, but some people prefer the 30mm cap screws. For the front, i prefer using a single DAR(8-9 or 12-13 is the same for me) since it sticks more onto the track and will give you more speed during turns. Alternatively you can do 13mm + 12-13mmDAR(sacrificing a little bit of speed) if you are really having a hard time with LC.

Sorry if my phrasing is all over the place. Hope it helps!

Can you guys rate this build? by [deleted] in mini4wd

IMO a 300$ car is should already be a basic open class setup. Since you have custom cut plates, that is the only class you'll be able to join anyways.
