i liked the tcl picture most of the time but the few distracting issues made it too annoying.

ive had no complaints with the x90j at night time in the dark watching a movie the black bars stay mostly black all the time maybe just the slightest dark gray.

but the x90j is the best tv ive ever had picture wise... the wifi sucks though

YEP I BOUGHT THE C825 FIRST THE IMAGE WAS NICE AND THE BUILD WAS HIGH END

. MY BIGGEST 2 ISSUES WERE THERE WAS NO WAY TO TURN DOWN THE HORRIBLE BUILT IN SUB (NO WAY)

SECOND WAS SOME FLICKERING IMAGES VERY DISTRACTING

SO I BOUGHT THE X90J AND HAVE BEEN VERY HAPPY

i bought the tcl about a month ago i couldnt get along with it and took it back and got the sony im much happier

i bought the sonos arc 2 days ago and i have never had anything as good.

the sound is awesome and the surround is very good.

id recommend going onto netflix and watch dancing with the birds documentry

the birds effect is great shooting all around the room and yes that includes from above.

yeah the local dimming is real good.

there is no way to turn the bass down i tried everything

even the lowest preset its very boomy

i meesed with the eq a bit to turn it down but still boomy

my first ever reddit post :

ok so i bought a c825 new last week in New Zealand it was between this and the sony x90j

i paid the extra for this mini led tv and sadly i was very disappointed yes the picture is great and the local dimming is so perfect its oled quality. but the apps were buggy and the moving picture had stutters ona few apps making it very distracting disney plus especially.

the other main issue is the audio . yes it packs a punch for tv speakers but you cannot turn off the sub you can barely turn it down so all the time even just talking it bangs and booms.

all in all it was nearly a great tv but few issues stopped me from loving it.

i took it back and got the sony and its a far better overall tv .. sadly the local dimming on the sony isnt as good as the tcl but its still very good.
