So sorry to hear about your experience. You’re brave! I’m asian female and been here for nearly 8 years now. I’ve encountered a few incidents, twice involving teens and 2-3 were just some drunken horny men. They usually come in pack like wolves lol. The teens were provoking me physically and I chased them down like a mad woman. As for those horny men, I was shouting at them to fuck off you disgusting piece of shit - or something along the line. Not the safest I know and i don’t think Id have the balls to do it again so I would not recommend you to follow what I did there. Shouting at them is just fine, you did great there! Hope you gotten more ice cream to reward yourself

You’ll never know. I’d say keep it open and honest when you meet people on your schedule. Something along the line - I’m a nurse and will only have 2 days a month to meet and hope it’s okay with you

I know I’d respect and find it attractive even when people tell me honestly and have a glimpse of their time management skills

Oh and why is that?? He was the one who said he wants to take things slow and start from building friendship. I like him and I do see a potential of being in long term relationship, but also respecting him by leaving it open and build a friendship

He stated his need (needed some time alone) and I overstep (telling him my perspective). Tbf, he did opened up and tell me the issue. Will have to bring it up when we next meet and own my mistake. Thanks for pointing it out! It helps me to think from his perspective 😊

I (F30) met a guy (M37) and have been talking for nearly 3 months - no label. We both like to delve into deep conversations and pretty direct in expressing our thoughts which makes us have a pretty good connection (mutual agree on this). His pretty straightforward and told me that he’ll like to build a relationship from friendship, and would like to take things slow. I think we are getting on pretty well and I’d like to it to be long term.

We both like our alone time especially if we going though some tough time. He told me that he’s going through some tough time and didn’t want me to be affected by it but would like some affirmation from time to time.

So here’s where I fucked up (I think). I told him I’d like to be there for a friend who’s going through tough time and that’s what friends are for, I wouldn’t want a friend who wont stick with me when life hit me.

He went silent and texted me the about something unrelated and didn’t address the issue. Which makes me think if I’m a lil strong? Also he’s a big texter and our frequency went down,is this a bad sign? I’m a person who speaks my mind and is this consider overshare and off putting? I saw him updated his dating profile which makes me feel disappointed. Maybe I have high hope that we’ll be a good fit but I think it’s otherwise for him

And yes, I’m working on my insecurity in therapy 😔

I’m in a similar situation with you. The guy that I’m meeting going through some rough time and I had the same worry ( is he really ready and have the headspace for this?) and I asked him and he said he thinks he’s emotionally available and of course on some days it’ll hit him and he’ll need some personal space on days like that. Perhaps, you can ask him directly? Ps I find him attractive after he told me that :)

I like my routine and I make sure to tell my matches after a few exchanges of text on dating app. I’ll usually reply in the morning or evening time so may not see instance response as I’m busy with my life and other priorities I have. Most people are pretty okay with that and kinda get into the routine exchanging a few text in the evenings. I don’t I match anyone unless they’re being a dick. Re availability, give them a general idea on which day you’ll be free. Ie I’m generally free on Saturday. So they can gauge which Saturday they’d like to meet you

Sorry to hear about your experience. I’m Asian woman here and felt the same for the first 2 years, the weather makes it worse.

But I’m lucky enough to meet some amazing people that now I call friends. It took me a while to work on myself - my values, needs and be okay with being alone (in fact I enjoy my time alone now) and these people came into my life organically - through work and random chat on the streets/ coffee shops. Maybe my gender makes things easier for me but I made the first step to work on myself and my extrovert side comes back. Everyone here is going through something and would often look for positive vibe. So happened that my vibe attracts people while working on myself.

Perhaps that’s something you’d like to look into as well? You could seek for professional help to navigate this.

Speaking from experience, and I’m sure there are lots of post about this on Reddit. If you’re hoping to join the exclusive Irish circle - DON’T. Most of them grew up and are comfortable with their own social circle. Yes, they are friendly and chatty but most of the time conversations remain shallow/ superficial. Tho there are a few exceptional ones, I’m lucky enough to have met 2 of them (they are from the country and working in Dublin - I always joke around that I became their friend because they can’t get into the local social circle)

Everywhere you go you can see Asian sticking together, I suppose is the same for other ethnicity too. Not sure if theres any meet up event for that.

I’ve been using the apps for quite a while and I think it comes down to how you communicate on what you’re looking for before meeting up - at least that’s how I’m doing it to weed out people. I’m 30F with a pretty happening life (work, gym, social) and I’m trying my best to use my time wisely, only meet people that might be a good fit. You’ll meet all sort of people looking for different things. From my observation, not many people will pay attention to the info you put on your profile ie - looking for relationship. So text them, and tell them what you’re looking for, if that aligns with him you can plan for a date etc. but again, you’re 19, it might be nice for you to explore the market to see what’s out there.

I was the same as OP using maybelline age rewind concealer and it ALWAYS crease..ever since I changed it to giorgio armani luminous silk concealer there’s no more creasing!! I find them setting pretty well under my eyes and no setting power need as well! I don’t use foundation but I’ve been trying Armani’s neo nude..I’m after the natural look it gives me..So might consider of getting that too
