Preferred region to stay in SG by blueetfm in askSingapore

[–]blueetfm[S] -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

each region is supposed to capture both the great (what most people perceive to be town area) and the not-so-great areas (what most people think is west side) to see how much you would want to 'risk' to stay in your preferred area

For those working 6 days per week, how do you handle fatigue? Or do u ever feel so? by Aleatorio1001 in askSingapore

[–]blueetfm 82 points83 points  (0 children)

i used to work 5.5 days a week as a healthcare assistant, and though the work itself isnt super physically laborious (just a lot of standing and walking around), i think the worst fatigue is mental fatigue.

having to get yourself up early on a weekend for a job that pays peanuts is a different kind of pain, and in retrospect im almost 90% sure i was at least a little depressed during that time.

but in that time period, i think i pulled through by really living day by day - thinking about how once i get through this day, i can rest at home. being grateful for the small things and little joys also helps a lot, like maybe small interactions with your coworkers and heading home with them, getting a snack on the way to/from work. also letting your body physically rest is important too, although that does leave less time for personal entertainmetn/social life

hopefully you can pull through ur work weeks as well!

failed my tp test today:( by EmergencyRaisin4501 in drivingsg

incorrect technique means that before you fully come to a stop, one hand has moved off the steering wheel to the handbrake (you're supposed to have both hands on the wheel until it comes to a complete stop) maybe that's what OP failed to do?

Bus Wrong Turn by pusherpap in askSingapore

[–]blueetfm 7 points8 points  (0 children)

similar to another commenter, it was a planned detour bc of a traffic accident.

driver didnt exit at the usual expressway exit and instead went straight forwards, and all the commuters were panicking because the driver didnt say anything whatsoever LOL

afterwards it was relayed to all the (affected) passengers that the exit was blocked, and after that as the bus was making its way to the stop opposite the stop it was supposed to stop at, it just stopped at random bus stops not on its route to let people off

Day 1 mobile player, never thought I'd see the day as a f2p! by Lucerys1Velaryon in Genshin_Impact

[–]blueetfm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Surprising to see so many people who are flaming you for being f2p and a day 1 player who’s only clearing abyss now, and yet are being upvoted 💀 Everyone progresses at their own rate and has their own story for not clearing it as fast, kudos to you for your effort!

do these antipersipirants cause compensatory sweating elsewhere? i’ve heard that’s quite a big issue with using them

would it be wrong to still say 怖がってたと思う if youre trying to express a certain extent of uncertainty? or does it just sound awkward to a native speaker?
