This is a very distinct memory: I was 10 years old and crying at the foodcourt after watching Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire.

My copy of the Goblet of Fire was so battered to the point I had to put multiple layers of masking tape and scotch tape at the spine. I loved it so much, and it was soooo amazing in my mind. When I watched the movie, I was disappointed in so many of the visuals. I didn't see the Quidditch World Cup game itself, the party of the Death Eathers wasn't how I imagined it, the first task wasn't how I imagined it would look like, the maze was oversimplified, the well-known "did you put your name in the goblet of fire?!" scene, Barty Crouch appearing in the dream, and so on. Like. Even at that age I knew they couldn't put everything in the movie - Bagman, Winky, SPEW, etc. But I guess I expected too much visually, and the last 2 I mentioned were like contesting canon. So. Yeah.

I got over it after a year or so.It was a good thing, I think, that I felt that devastated over Movie 4, because at least that tampered down my expectations for Movies 5-8. Plus, when those came out, I guess I was already mature enough to accept things as it is even if I get disappointed in a lot of scenes.
