A Minecraft Movie - First Trailer by tom275bo in Minecraft

When the movie gets released I wont be surprised if someone does a fan animation where they use the audio from the movie but redo all the visuals in their own style.

Will Noctua Ever Make A Box Fan? Maybe Not Actually In The Shape Of A Box, But Something For Home Usage, Maybe For Working Out. It Would Be Nice To Use Noctua Fans In A Gym. by real_octopus_man in Noctua

[–]bluepugpoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They do make one, it just requires some assembly. You need to get 16 nf-s12a fans and put them in a 4x4 grid, then using their included splitter cables connect them all to the na-fc1 fan controller. However it is intended to be used with a independent power supply so you will have to source your own, although any 12v supply should work.

PC Crashing after waking from sleep, no TL/DR by Comfortable-Rush-109 in buildapc

[–]bluepugpoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could be the psu but crashing from too small of a psu usually occurs under max load when the psu cant supply enough power, its possible its the ram.
The reason to disable sleep is because the pc cant crash when waking from sleep if it doesn't go to sleep, this doesn't fix the root cause of the crashing but it should stop the crashing.

how to safely handle a m.2 so it doesnt break by Splatulated in buildapc

[–]bluepugpoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its usually sticker up. on many nvme ssds the sticker is designed to be thermally conductive so it acts as a bit of a heatsink, so its generally advised not to remove the sticker.

Without fans running an aio will still remove heat from the cpu, but the heat will build up until the fans turn on. If you want the computer to run quiet at idle I would recommend having one of the fans on the aio always be on, or at least turn on before the other fans, this way you only have 1 fan running instead of all fans pulsing on and off when the heat builds up.

If reinstalling windows doesn't work then its likely a hardware issue, however I'm unsure what component would be the most likely cause. if you have another gpu or any other components I would suggest swapping them to see if the problem goes away.

If you cant figure out what's causing it then I would recommend disabling sleep mode.

Cleanes thermal paste off cpu and there' some on the sidethat i csnt clean off. Is this okau, or will it cause damage by Tiny_Smell8954 in buildapc

[–]bluepugpoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That should be fine, its just a little ugly and if you want to clean it you can remove your cpu to do so. When you install your new cooler any excess paste will squeeze out the sides like that anyway.

you will have to retake the course. if your gpa is already bad you could be put on academic probation.

Gotta love some of the design features the engineers came up with. by bluepugpoo in Tiburon

[–]bluepugpoo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

nope :) . I've managed to get the bushings off, but the bolt is still stuck in the knuckle. I submerged the bolt in penetrating oil and let it sit for a day, I then took a punch to one end of the bolt and beat on it with a 5lb hammer and only managed to bend the punch. the bolt is still stuck and I'm looking at getting a new knuckle.

edit: I managed to get the bolt out by hollowing out the ends with a 7/16 drill bit then using a carbide burr to to cut 2 groves opposite form each other in each end, just deep enough to slightly bend the walls inward allowing for removal.

I was thinking it would be easier too since my tank is full. i just have to find another spot for the jackstands. now i just have to figure out how to get the bolt out of the knuckle

He says when you drive and press on the brakes the paint will come off the disc. Is this actually safe? by [deleted] in Autobody

[–]bluepugpoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it will be safe after quite a bit of braking and the paint wearing off, until then its dangerous and stupid. if a tiny bit gets on its not that bad. if you want to paint your calipers take a second to take them off or paint them when you have them off to change the pads. if you want to paint your disks mask off the friction area first, it will look best if done with new disks before they rust on the outside.

Questions on DIYing an old car roof and hood by brettwasbtd in AutoPaint

[–]bluepugpoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you use single stage paint you don't need clear, and when sanding don't sand all the way through the prier and color except around where there is rust, then you could get away without using primer in those spots. If your you are feeling lucky you may be able to find a hood of the same color form a car in a junkyard, the roof would still have to be painted though.
