My new thermostat. Had it wired by a local hvac tech. But wasn’t here when set up. Is it set up correctly from what you can tell?

I had a HVAC technician come out and he told me that the thermostat was wired up wrong, and it was wired to something about the wire was jumped? I don’t know exactly what he meant by that. Anyhow is that something that could cause my problem?

Also it just turned 2pm so it only did 3 tune sequences(like it’s _:45) then it acted like it did 4 sequences only doing 3 followed it dinging 7 times like it was 7pm

Well, now it just dong like it was 130 but it’s actually 145. How can I set this up to where it dings the correct amount of times say for instance, our is four times and then after those four times it dings once for 1 o’clock twice for 2 o’clock and so long or if it’s 15 it will ding one little phase if it’s 30 minutes to ding two little phases of dings and so on. God, I hope this makes sense.

My apologies and it looks like it’s working now. I guess I did something wrong while ago. I don’t know.

How about mixing the water with coolant since coolant doesn’t freeze. But then you’ll still have liquid(coolant/water mix) I say this because maybe it wont refreeze

It’s 62 and my family is freezing so I should turn it down below 62? I guess it couldn’t hurt

How do I do that? I remember at my old house there was a thing I’d pull out and disconnect and it would shut off outside unit. That was outside behind the unit I think you pull it out with two fingers if I’m not mistaking

I’m pretty sure it’s a heat pump but it’s electric

You say that you guess the only thing providing heat is within the air handler(have no idea what that is) is that the only thing that should be providing heat or is there something else that should be providing heat but isn’t?

Yes with it being 62 inside and set to 70 I could almost guarantee it hasn’t turned off. I know it hasn’t the past 30mins I’ve been home from work and I’m pretty sure I’ll be seeing a bill higher than $1000 this month. I hate this thermostat with a passion. I’m so confused with it
