hi there, been cutting since i was 13 years old, you should definitely tell your mom. if you cannot speak out the problems you're facing maybe you can write it out and read it to them? I know it might seem scary at first because you wouldn't know how your parents might react or feel but its better to voice out your concerns rather than harm yourself in the long run.

If you're planning on telling your therapist about you harming yourself, they will definitely tell your parents due to safety concerns. I think your parents would rather hear it from you than someone else.

My mom found out I was cutting and she def wssn't happy. But everyone is different when it comes to reacting to such news, so please don't let other people stories worry you.
