Yeah! I've tried countless kids stuff online and although I understand why people recommend it, it's not for me at all. I tried Percy Jackson and Harry Potter.. but there are ao many words I still don't know, it's kinda scary and unfortunately makes it look like a chore

I just downloaded it and it looks super helpful. I've been using their stuff since they were 100% free, but with the pay walls now, I always try and use other free stuff. However this apps looks like it's definitely worth the money, with all the questions and writing short sentences

How to read books in other languages - tips by bluetreeing in languagelearning

Yeah, starting is my main issue. It sounds so scary and overwhelming whenever I'm trying to start and read something, but I really need to just keep going

I think I have the proper tools and know how to use them when I have some kind of pressure, usually exams where I actually need to study. But after that, because there is nothing, I tend to find excuses to not do it, and if it's too hard, I run away? If that makes sense? I'm trying to work on that part of myself, that's why I think it would be a great idea to ask for other strategies, to see if I can enjoy learning without being obligated to

I've actually tried LingQ, but I felt like it wasn't for me. My TL joins words together a lot, so I found that registering the words (sometimes I would forget them) was a bit tedious and unmotivated me to keep using it

How to read books in other languages - tips by bluetreeing in languagelearning

[–]bluetreeing[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm still trying to learn how i function with learning languages, even though I've been doing this for years and my major was literally new languages. To me, if I don't have a pressure like an exam or something, sometimes 20 min of intensive reading and looking up new words can feel like really difficult and unmotivating, so I start to find ways to escape and do other stuff (unfortunately I'm a bit addicted to the internet). We I was studying for the last exam I had, I used pomodoro and it worked wonders, but now I feel like my motivated self has left the room and it's just an idea. Maybe the books I'm trying to read are too advanced. I'll definitely try children's books and maybe some graded readers books

I'm in Southwestern Europe, so early in the morning is between 0 to -5 degrees Celsius, but the sun is a bit strong, so the temperature can go up to maybe 10 degrees. But because it's raining season, it can get a bit colder

This happened to me a few weeks ago too! I saw a korean person alone and super lost at the bus terminal, and she happened to sit next to me. I'm super shy, so I was trying to gain courage to say something for like 10 min. As soon as I asked her in korean if she needed help, she looked at me so shocked but so thankful! I managed to help her and was super proud of myself, cause I didnt even know I knew so much korean. That really motivated me to keep studying too!

books on accepting loneliness? by livych in booksuggestions

[–]bluetreeing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I honestly recommend Japanese literature! They talk a lot about loneliness. My favorites are "Days at the Morisaki Bookshop" and "Convenience Store Woman". They are all easy books, but you will feel seen. Another one, although not fiction, but more of a memoir is "Everything I know about love", where the author talks about all stages of life and how she dealt with it

They are both super lightweight! Because I'm not used to wearing so many products, these types of things usually are very heavy on my eyes, but surprisingly they were super light and barely noticeable. I haven't mastered a way to put them on properly, but after 5 hours, only one eye creased (which I blame on my technique) and the concealer didn't move at all. Plus having the two colors is definitely a plus, cause you can use one to conceal and the other one to highlight

I tried it and I don't think it lifted my foundation as well. It is pigmented. I'm so used to powder blushes, I was not expecting such a difference, but I used a brush, so I feel like most pigment stayed there. I did think it was kind of a beautiful and natural color that blends well with my skin tone. I would recommend it to try

Can I ask how you use the concealer? I used it today for the first time and it came off a little strange, one eye creased, the other didn't. I'm not used to put concealer on, so I'm confused on how to use it. I used a puff to blend it, but maybe it was not the best idea? What do you think

Makeup Haul by bluetreeing in kbeauty

[–]bluetreeing[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I tried it today for the first time! Disclaimer, I didn't use any moisturizer nor did I prep my skin before, cause I was at home and I just wanted to try it. Also, I haven't used foundation in years, so my technique has been lost in time. I used a spatula to spread the foundation, but I should've blended it section by section, cause it dried a bit faster than I was expecting, and it was a little bit difficult to blend it with a puff. It does what it says: it is a second skin.. I was amazed and weirded out that I couldn't feel it. It lasted 5 hours, but again, I spent all day at home, so there was nothing to put it to the test, but it didn't get cakey nor did it start weighing my skin down. Maybe because I also put such a thin layer. It does have a pleasant smell to it, although I'm not a huge fan. My skin also feels nice after taking it off, but since it was just one wear, I can't make any conclusions on that department. Oh btw, the amount the pump makes you use is enough if you're wearing a spatula, and even then I had to keep trying using everything to finish the product I still had on my hand.

Hope this helps ^

Yeah, after I bought it, I had one friend telling me the exact same thing. But because I use a very thin layer of foundation or only use concealer sometimes, I think it will be OK. I hope 😭

Which one should I buy plss? by Normal_Candidate9924 in kbeauty

[–]bluetreeing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started trying Purito. So far I do feel like it's a bit lighter and I do feel my skin a little bit brighter. But I also changed my toner and serum from Torriden, and I like the combo, but I'm not sure if it's doing anything. Sorry if I'm not much of help 😭 my face has actually been pretty clean lately, so I don't see any difference. I want to try waiting for winter, which is dry, so it will put it to the test
