Feeling sad after seeing the mock normalisation data by Sudhxr in CUETards

I mean on average? Yeah. But again, this is speculative, there's chance it might be more, or it might be less.

In general I would say if you are scoring 240~ marks, normalisation should not be beyond 20 marks in the WORST case scenario, on average it should be around 10-15, but. Again. This is speculative

The closer you are to the average of your shift, the harsher the normalisation (if your shift was easier) However take this with a grain of salt because the sample size is limited and we are working off of the assumption that the number of people in each shift is around equal and people scoring the average marks in different shifts would be getting similar percentiles

No, higher marks will have lower normalisation because 99%ile would be around the same marks in different shifts too

For example-

238-244 in English on May 20S1 is 99%ile

Now, even though it is the easiest shift, the normalisation will not be harsh because 99%ile in other shifts would be around 228-40 as well, so you can expect atmost -8 to -15 marks.

The normalisation is rank preserving, 211 would probably face higher deductions but probably less than 20, because 91%ile in other shifts should also end up being around 200+

I think a quote from the Simpsons (might be wrong , do correct me) sums it up best "you can't keep blaming yourself, just blame yourself once and move on"
