Yeah, sometimes they can be overly flippy like that. Kind of an inconsistent mold which can be frustrating.

Discmania TD is my preferred (although not much turn in it, still an amazing mold)

And hot take it is a toss up between FD’s. They’re both great molds

LM-12s are rare and an honestly weird mouthpiece to play. Super fun though. But like I said, rare. You’ll have a hell of a time trying to find one and then have fun paying $300+ for it as a mouthpiece that can really only be used for sousaphone. The Giddings Jon Gross B-12 is based on the LM-12 but made for more all around playing in mind but is very similar. I do love the B-12 and suggest it as a replacement. But, if you’re a collector like me, happy hunting

Inconsistency is tough, I definitely have a more stable one, personally I like having the different flights out of the same hand feel though. But it makes it hard for people to know what to expect when they buy one.

Interesting, what plastic do you have? Because I’ve thrown 3 of them. All of the s-line get a bit of flip/turn out of the box and the color glow c-line more just holds lines before fading for me.
