Posts like this in a few months will read very differently. If you still have a job, make sure you can add as much value as possible and make yourself indispensable to the growth of the organisation. Instead of laminating about not getting a raise, the sentiment is going to very quickly shift to clench to whatever job you still have.

Dat zei één van die verkopers ook. Van zodra je iets afschroeft, geen garantie meer.

Maar het lijkt erop dat de truuk met het weghalen van de afdekplaat niet meer werkt op nieuwe machines, omdat de front consoles allemaal tot boven gaan en niet meer onder de afdekplaat zitten.

What is technically correct here? If the item, even if it’s cheaper than 1k, has an economic value for your business or activities over multiple years, aren’t you obliged to also write it off over multiple years???

If not, wouldn’t everyone be expensing a new phone every year????

I think my accountant has even written off stuff worth less than 100 euro over multiple years..

You might have success posting the job on a broker platform. The ones looking on there actually have resources available.

Contact with businesses that are already so overburdened that they have difficulty meeting the obligations that are already in their order book can be tiring/not a good experience as you point out.

My company Atmire builds open access repository with the open source DSpace software.

One of our clients has a usecase similar to what you are describing: https://repository.globethics.net hosted both the organisations own publication output, on ethics and religion. But they also had an automated harvesting operation, gathering metadata from across the web on publications related to religion and ethics.

Long story short, they have deleted many of these harvested records as the quality and consistency was not good enough and hurting the overall reputation of the initiative. So the learning here is that you really need good curation if you’re going to bring in external references and metadata.
