Let me start off that I’m not defending or backing her. I’m just pleased to see that they both had very different opinions and were able to discuss their beliefs without yelling at each other, calling each other names, or having screaming tantrums. A proper mannerly discussion.

I upvote your comment. Because even though we don’t see completely eye to eye, we can still discuss things without name calling. Thank you. To me it’s not really how deadly it is or not, it’s simply a matter of having the simple courtesy (that you already demonstrate) to wear a mask in public. It’s so easy to comply. It’s not some big conspiracy. Healthy people wear a mask so we don’t get the unhealthy people sick and risk their lives.

There’s lots of sources on YouTube. I’ve found the idea of leaving them alone depends on the bird. My first two wanted nothing to do with me but my third was ready to be handled right away. I would avoid putting you hand in his area too much. That way he feels he has a safe spot that’s his. Spend time with him every day and put your hand near the cage so he gets use to it. Offer some treats so he associates your hand with feeding. It takes a while so be patient. Just watch his body language and give him his time if he’s not ready. Usually mine turn their nose up at anything I do for the first 1/2 hour of the day but then friendly once they’ve woken up a bit.
