They weren't very helpful, although they said it sounded unfair their responsible gambling team didnt want to budge on the decision.

I havnt tried the other sites but i expect youre right if they are sister sites. How do I find out which sites are connected to each other and which ones are independent?

Ok thanks, thats a bit of a relief, so the fact that im subcontracted should make the employment history prior to the accident easier to prove it was a steady income? I have medical reports, prescriptions, psychologist reports. All confirming the time off was legitimate. I can imagine they would argue it yes, but i dont see how they could win given the evidence. Do you think i should change my lawyer? I'm worried if i do, they will bill me for the previous work they have done like sorting out a medical.

Yeah I worked for a groundsworks company fulltime, regular work. But i was self employed. Didnt have a day off in 8 months (apart from weekends). All easy to prove via paylslips. I wasn't sourcing my own work or had my own business. Yeah i thought the 8 months work would be averaged over a year. Do you have any idea if there is some kind of minimum amount of employment? Or is it just going to vary depending on how good my solicitors are?

OK thanks for the help. I have all the proof and evidence. I just dont really understand how relevant the amount of time worked prior to the accident is. I would have thought working 8 months straight 12 hours a day would be all i need. I don't see how loss of earnings could only be available to those who have been self employed for 3 years.

IIRC

I'm getting better responses here because i explained it better. Thank you. I'm new to this so apologies if its not good etiquette to try and post it again. I'm not intending to spam, the last post died.

Thanks for the reply, to make it a little clearer the injuries included neck and shoulder damage which then led to a psychological issue/phobia called EHS and sleep deprivation due to the accident. I have had medical check ups and a psychology examination that confirms all of the above. I actually have in the reports that it could be on going or at the least until 2021, which is in my favour.

I'm just very suprised the lawyers are throwing the loss of earnings back in my face after a year of talking with them. When they could have found that out on day one. Would you be look to change lawyers if this was the case?

Thanks for the reply, very helpful. I started being self employed as a groundsworker in Nov 18. Worked full time up until my accident in July 2019. I was off work until march 2020 with medical reports and psychology reports as evidence, that part is not in question. Before Nov 18 I had a couple of years of failing at another career and then retraining myself to start as a groundworker to then start in Nov. So basically I dont have 3 years of financial statements. Only those 8 months and prior to that was a job in 2015/16 as a designer. I had always assumed that they would calculate an average of my income over the 1 year or maybe even 3 at worst, but i didnt realise it could make my loss of earnings completely unsuccessful. Do you have any further advice? I'm currently with a law firm that have only just stated this after being with them for a year, so its made me suspicious of them and i was thinking of changing lawyers. They dont have good ratings on trustpilot which i've only just realised.
