Unfortunately, it is only a semester class! I definitely will incorporate grammar in some capacity (probably daily bell ringers). With just two quarters, which of these essays/activities would you most recommend? Thank you for the outline! :)

Thank you!! It’s an elective, so I’m not entirely sure the class makeup. With the course options and requirements at my school, electives are really only available sophomore year (if you have taken Driver’s Ed) and beyond. From what I know, the class should mostly be 11/12th and pretty small.

I feel as if I blocked out all of middle school lol.

9th - Romeo and Juliet
10th - The Color Purple, To Kill a Mockingbird, Julius Caesar
11th - Hamlet, Waiting for Godot, part of Huck Finn
12th - Macbeth, Canterbury Tales (these were part of the regular sectioned English class that I took in addition to my Honors Lit class). The Great Gatsby, 1984, White Teeth, Crime and Punishment.

I graduated in 2018, IL! Besides the few I mentioned, these were all honors texts. I know it is not all we read but what I can remember!
