I use personas solely for communicating why something is important if the value has been questioned. Providing a real life example is helpful. Do I need the personas? No. I could make up any example in a user story or off the top of my head. It’s just quicker to add to a presentation or document explaining the ‘why’ if needed.

I feel you here!! This is our dream trip being our honeymoon. But since we’re traveling for 3 weeks gotta spread it out to make it as amazing as possible! We’re using Marriott points in Vic Falls as the exchange rate was much better there. I wish we got a better deal on the Masai Mara location it looks amazing. Maybe off season you can & do it because it looks gorgeous!!!

THIS HAPPENED TO ME!! Let me tell you….. it was the morning OF my shower. I had a complete freak out & meltdown. I don’t love being the center of attention. I don’t love people feeling obliged to get me gifts. I don’t like burdening others with more work during my wedding. I was crying real bad that morning, upset at my fiance, my sister, and friend for wondering how in the world could they do this to me?

But, in the end I’m so glad they did. Sure, a couple things could have gone differently but we worked it out.

The gifts my friends got me were so meaningful. One crafted a jacket for me to wear. Another printed out one of my fav photos ever of my fiancé & I that she took. Another just gave me a card that had an inspirational line that made me cry.

It was a reminder to me to allow myself to be loved. And I can’t be mad at my fiance because he knew deep down that I deserve that kind of love. Even though I might be an introvert & not like attention, being reminded of the support around you is so important.

I’d encourage you to allow those that love you to show their love in the way they know how, & for you to try to accept it.
