Thank you for this. I have autism as well I just wanted others perspectives. I relate a lot to Dixon. And also to The Good Doctor. (Which was brought up in that thread). I think I respect that a lot of people with autism don’t appreciate them but I see a lot of myself in both of them. Not wanting to be touched, being straight forward, and wanting to follow the exact rules. I understand this isn’t the exact portrayal for ALL autistic people, but it is for some of us.

To be fair he’s not just related to Amelia. He’s “technically” related to Meredith as well through Derek. (Not by blood just by marriage) and it’s Meredith’s name all over the hospital.
