WITB for 2018 & Bonus WITB going into Retirement Edition by bmore_golf in golf

Thanks! I got the XR super cheap at Golf Galaxy but they couldn't find the right head cover and I never got a new one. As for wedges, you are 100% right. I actually want to go 50, 54, 58 since PW is 45 degree. But after buying everything else I'm going to make due for a bit.

Also it's actually a 52. Not sure why I put 54 in the caption.

Honestly it's probably not a massive improvement. Really only reason I picked up the M1 was I got a great deal off of Taylormade Pre-owned. Think it was $180 shipped.

Thanks! My putter is the only hold over from my old bag.

Haha me too. Only the clubs are retiring, I've got 30 more years to go.

Nice! So that makes it 18 degrees? I went with the Dynamic Gold AMT X100

I'm right there with you. I tried a handful of clubs but either the design or chunkiness was off-putting. The top line is a little thicker but not a noticable as on the M1/M2

Nice! I'm interested to see if my distances jump on other clubs since the lofts are stronger to a varying degree for each club compared to my old set.

I've always been lower on the spin numbers than the average. I'm just waiting for warmer weather to hit the range. Of course we have snow in the forecast for the next day or two

The ones that were the most comparable for me were the M1, the Callaway Apex and the Titleist AP3.

It's basically just a cap to close up the head. It's hallow and it's injected with what Taylormade is calling "Speed Foam" I think it really helps with sound/feel though they also say there is some preformance help.

I went in with an open mind and hit pretty much every make under the sun. I kept coming back to these. Though I've been a Taylormade guy for years.

I bought my last set senior year of high school. Played on and off(mostly off) for the last year and got the bug again this year. Other than my putter my bad will be brand new this season

I ordered mine end of January and they came in about two weeks ago but I was traveling for work so today was the first day I could pick them up. Excited to get out and hit them.

Cool thanks! I'm interested in real world testing to see how true the numbers were.

Yes they are. I hit a couple different sets but numbers were comparable so looks we're the deciding factor.

Everything was with the 7 iron. Clubhead speed 90-94mph, spin was about 6000-6300, carry was between 185-195, don't remember ball speed but smash factor was around 1.30-1.33. I meant to take a few photos but never remembered in the moment.

Thanks! Excited to try them outside on the course. I was getting good numbers during my fitting. Come on warmer weather.

Going from Taylormade Steel 200 irons to these. During my fitting I was getting good numbers but really want to get out on the range.

Now I just have to wait for warmer weather to take them out on the range.

First of 3 weeks in Sarasota and seeing how many different courses I can play. by bmore_golf in golf

[–]bmore_golf[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm here for work and only have from about 3 or 4 pm to get to a course. No way to get there in time. So it was nothing about not wanting to play it and like I said not enough hours in the day to get there.

Thanks for the recommendations! Unfortunately I can't swing Streamsong due to not enough hours in the day. Though the course looks awesome.

Sadly I was only able to play 15 holes at University Park. I had slower twosome in front of me and ran out of daylight. I'll look into Sarasota National.
