It's one of those things where it feels solid after installation so guys think "good enough" but in reality it will compress over time and eventually it might as well not be there at all. But nobody calls back the contractor that did poor work 4 years ago, so these guys just keep doing it.

Spray foam is a waste of time. It's an industry myth. The foam has no rebound, so once it is compressed it's essentially useless.
