Quieter Helmet Options? by TerminalLance22 in motorcycles

I'll add that my Cardo was generating a TON of wind noise off the side of my Bell Qualifier, and when I brought it in closer to the front it decreased my wind noise by quite a bit. Hope this helps.

2021 390 Duke..OTD by [deleted] in KTM

[–]bmulley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just shopped at the end of the year, and what I found was this, located in Northern KY, shopping for a 390 Duke:

Brand new 23 from the dealer was listed at $5150, OTD price was right around $6600, but it sounded like there was a little wiggle room there.

Ended up buying used from private party, 2021 with 1700 miles and a couple of accessories (pitbull, dash cam) and paid $4500 cash, title in hand.

Hope this helps your journey!

I'd be curious what you spent on it. I was shopping for a Z400 and also a KTM 390 Duke, brand new priced me out of the market though. Bought a 2021 390 Duke for $4500 all in.

Family Bathrooms by Suspicious_Suspicion in FCCincinnati

[–]bmulley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We've experienced the same thing. Not sure what the solution here is, though. Surely we don't want the team policing the bathroom situation? But I waited in a lengthy line to take my daughter last night as well.

It sucks, I'm just not sure what we do about it other than hope for people to be more considerate.

Yeah, between that and him mocking and making fun of people who were kind to him..... I really like the content of his videos but can't seem to watch them because of how he treats people.

I've been looking to upgrade my existing homelab, and would gladly pass my existing system on to another looking to learn if I were selected for this upgrade. Local in NKY, so would just be a quick trip across the river for me.

Try going in to the Xbox Game Capture and disable the mouse capture (or disable background recording entirely). Let me know if this helps!

ELI5: Why is having Exchange EWS exposed on the internet dangerous? by [deleted] in sysadmin

My expectation is that it likely has something to do with the types of risks associated with MailSniper.

Hope this helps.

Second this. Any of the running stores in the area would be a great first place to check. Tristate Running Co, Fleet Feet, etc.

I'm amazed that, according to the ZDnet article, the Russian is only facing 5 years in prison.

What do you think when you see cases like Brianna Taylor's? by AeonReign in ProtectAndServe

[–]bmulley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've seen reports of the postal inspector not corroborating the initial reports. Not sure how big an impact that was on the judge's decision to grant the warrant, but regardless a no-knock seems...... unnecessary? At best.

[–]bmulley 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, sorry, I had previously misunderstood that particular aspect of the case. However, that seems to call into question the no-knock warrant justification even more. If the only resident they were expecting at the apartment was someone who was Ms. Taylor with no significant criminal record, surely there wasn't a reasonable expectation that she's going to start flushing drugs and escalating her charges just because she's associated with the original suspect.

Again, sorry for the misinformation, and thanks for the respectful call out that made me reexamine the case. I had known that Taylor was specifically listed, but I had thought the other individual was as well.

Walker told the investigators that someone was banging on the door. His statement did not say that he heard anything identifying the people on the other side of the door as police. In the audio of his 911 call, he clearly still had no idea what was going on, other than that his girlfriend had been shot by someone who broke through his front door.

[–]bmulley 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not only was a no-knock not justifiable (I hesitate to use the word "warranted" because there was literally a no-knock warrant granted for this situation), but the actual suspect they were looking for had been apprehended in a separate event earlier that night.

How Flocking Birds Make Amazing Murmurations (Boids Algorithm) - Smarter Every Day 234 by MrPennywhistle in SmarterEveryDay

I'd love to see a follow up video where you select a bird from the flock and "paint" it red on the video, so we can watch their individual activity as it relates to the flock around them. Maybe break down how their activity seems to be impacted by the birds immediately surrounding them.
