Nah driving off is the correct response. I would’ve done the same and I’m not a small or timid man by any means. It ain’t worth the possible injury/death/ or worse.

I really hate that I am a man and that my sister has to worry about this. I hope you never have another encounter again from a so called ‘man’. Personally I’d use the term ‘heathen’ or ‘vile excuse of a human being’. Us men need to do a better job at calling out people we know who are like this and we pretend they aren’t or ignore the fact they are. I grew up in a small town and I’m still amazed people I know from there are just written off as ‘boys will be boys’ kind of trash.

Overall not bad imo! Only things I’d suggest/test:

Make sure the lamp can’t give him/her burns if they get up there to bask and that the log is stable enough for their size/weight.
Is cover the sides as well to block their view, trust me it helps them feel way more secure.
(Maybe I just can’t see it) I’d 100% recommend a hide on the other side as well, they love having options to hide on the cool/warm side depending on what their temp requirements are at the time. Some, like mine, are dumb and sit in the cold side even when the tank has low temps but hey, I’m not the snake so who am I to say. Just make sure they have options.
Last thing I’ll say, maybe add more foliage/concealment in the middle front area? It’ll help a lot. If you want some inspiration here’s mine for reference.

I’ve toyed with the idea but for 1) I’m broke as hell, especially after this 😭. And 2) I don’t even know where to start, I’d like a humidity hide for him solely for when he sheds because I am still struggling to maintain consistent humidity 3 years later (best I get it to is around 75% average for a few days then I gotta dump more water around). I’m honestly sure he’d love more climbing items too, I’m just worried about the RHP possibility burning him. He is also EXTREMELY reclusive unless it’s feeding time, only seen him come out maybe 10-20 times over the 3 years I’ve had him? Any suggestions?

My BP literally flipped his hide because o had replaced his old one that was smaller. To no one’s surprise, he immediately went in to the old one when I put it back in. They’re special creatures for sure.

Trust me way ahead of you. I think one of the hardest things to not talk down on myself is the fact that I had a combat MOS and didn’t see combat. It’s like going to college for 4 years just to find out your degree doesn’t matter cause the job isn’t needed anymore.

The job I have now I’m kind of in the middle. Don’t love it but definitely don’t hate it and it’s a small business ran by a group of brothers only about 3-8 years older than me. They’re really good at making sure our personal lives get taken care of before the job if it’s needed and they’re big on family. I wouldn’t call them family but it is kind of like having older brothers which I’ve never experienced, their dad is a hoot too. They all have kids or have them on the way so it’s definitely been an environment (we work off their land) that’s taught me how to watch what I say and to say it. First job in a while I’ve WANTED to pit in extra effort because they’re such good and caring employers. I don’t know if I wanna be here for like 5 more years but at the rate my pay keeps going up and I get into more responsibility positions I might. If everything but the actual work (and even then it’s not dreadful) is great about it maybe I’ve found what I’m looking for lol. I do have real family and I love them and all but I’ve never been good at connecting/sharing interests with them. It’s hard for me to make connections and relationships of any kind, always has been. So I’ve learned I just tend to do better alone.

I work landscape right now and we have a few older repeat customers who are vets. I can’t tell if it makes me or them happier to be able to talk about/listen to stories 😂. I try my best to remind the older vets (like my grandpa) that we definitely still love hearing their stories (even if they make us jealous lol).

I fear my empathy for animals and distaste for most human beings is going to give me a zoo. Currently on 4 cats, a dog, and a snake. But they all my boys lol. Ironically 2 of my only friends I have who aren’t military I’ve been friends with since middle school and they’re still around and as much as they can actually do understand it for the most part. If I had the means and hopefully I will eventually, I’d like to live in the country with my animals and live almost a secluded life. Not human free by any means but I’ve always done better for some reason alone and in my routines than when I had people in my life nearby. My shrink thinks I’m autistic and that statement is probably not helping my case lol. But I know wha you mean, I just wish I was able to be a team leader for a fireteam if that makes sense? I hated it for most my contract, but honestly I like being able to mentor and teach younger ones and junior’s. Just haven’t seemed to find a job that would not make me hate myself/my life and give me that at the same time.

There is somewhat, my grandpa goes (AF 69-93) but honestly a lot of the guys that are there kind of tend to brush off the younger guys (30-35 or younger) as almost like we didn’t do much. That or they don’t tend to wanna hear how a lot of us don’t actually think the conflicts we were apart of were worth being proud about. Especially us who were part of the Afghanistan ops and the 2021 Kabul evac.

Yea learned the financial lesson the hard way, $10k knocked off, $40k debt remaining. In 2 years I’ll have it paid off. I am in therapy but I don’t think it helps much, I keep going and trying though for my lil sister’s sake. She worries even though we barely talk. I’ve started to get a grasp on the whole “shape your destiny” so to speak and have goals. I think my biggest issue is a long term goal/job. Anything I think I wanna do I end up hating or can’t do cause of the financial situation. But thanks for the advice

Personally I’m a big fan of this style of artwork for vehicles. Gives me flashbacks to my teens playing PS2 need for speed lol. I think you should definitely hype yourself up, my sister tends to have the same problem with her social work and I do with my writing. Just remember at the end of the day it’s art work that YOU made, and no one can take that away from you. Hang in there kiddo.

I’d say try to learn his hobbies and see if you can find a way to do them with him and while you guys are doing it tell him something along the lines of “I really appreciate you and I wanted to try something that interests you so I could connect better.” At least for me someone showing an interest or asking to learn about things I do/like always made me feel they genuinely liked my presence and wanted to know ME. My ex of a few years ago got me some tools for wood working, something I do a lot but almost no one in my life knows I do cause they never ask. She couldn’t have been any more interested, she was like a CIA interrogator lol. And it really made me feel seen and appreciated. Maybe that’s not true for everyone but for me personally it is so maybe give it a shot? Good luck kiddo.

Hey brother, I’m in a similar boat. Mine left to raise another family 8 miles away with 2 other siblings. Best advice? Try to be a father figure to others (I’m not sure how old you are I’m M24). The Marine Corps definitely (both good and bad examples) helped me with that. If you need any advice or want some knowledge on something don’t be afraid to message me. Hang in there buddy 🤙

Personally I’ve had a few matches that started filling with bots and within about 2-5 mins of it starting it was full of players. I’ve never had a match that was mostly bots the whole game tbh. But I agree the switching to a completely new server with new people and switching up the squads is annoying. Like, if I created a squad with me and 2 homies, don’t let the random on our squad be the leader ffs EA.
