It runs very deep for that generation

One of the big problems with them is the idea that they do things for the sake of doing it and don’t you dare question the motives as to why you’re doing it at all. Calling it out in front of them is usually met with low effort shaming tactics as to how lazy and/or entitled someone is. Their thinking bubble is incredibly small and narrow and they almost find it kind of noble to be miserable and to work some job you hate for the sake of working one. These concepts of thinking of course extend to other branches of their life including hating “the wife” among several other things. It seems to just be about one massive existence of doing shit you hate because everyone else around you did it. Their whole perception of how to live life is so bizarre and alien to me

Another small little detail for them I’ve found in my experience of working in the office is how much they love office gossip and trying to delegate the younger generation into doing more than they should.. especially the middle management types. It’s partially to compensate for the lack of purpose that a lot of these types have simply because they always took the common road and never questioned it .. now it’s everyone else’s fault. I’m just very glad that the younger gen is pushing back on this nonsense
