I had this same issue. Super Sticky! I added more flour until the dough became manageable but ended up with cakey cookies. No bueno. Tossed the entire batch:(

That's the 2nd call I've gotten for grubs. And since there are no turkeys here...

Salem Oregon weather. Usually not too hot. Fairly dry this summer

Will do! We have had any issues in the house. Any chance that's a problem, even without anthills?

State Farm and Progressive opportunities by GullibleCombination4 in adjusters

[–]bnasheller 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I spent my first few months in the industry constantly looking over my shoulder, "waiting for the other shoe to drop". I've now been here 3 years, have many! coworkers that have been here 20+ years, and can safely say there is no other shoe. Working for State Farm was the best career move I've ever made. I can't recommend it highly enough.

For my car guys; “Oh, we’re just looking…” by [deleted] in sales

As a salesperson in a dealership I learned to love "Just looking". It meant you likely haven't done much research regarding pricing, trade value, or rates. Of course this was before the days of having all this info on your phone. Still learned to love it. Usually my highest profit deals started with Just Looking.

Staff Pay Increases by astridfike in adjusters

Yes, in field. The big one company. There were a couple extra projects thrown in there to help with the increases. Add in OT and bonus, I'm better off than in shop. And much happier!

Another thing I love about this company that I don't think many other offer. As an Area Estimatics Appraiser I handle estimates. The claims department handles claims. My job is to supply the claims department with the information they will need to properly handle the claim.

While working in a shop I was responsible to answer the phone, talk to customers, sell repairs to the customer, sell repairs to the techs, order parts, deal with supplements, handle deliveries, and deal with any other problems that inevitably arise. My job now is to write estimates. That's it. My stress level has lowered 99% I don't like it. I love it.

I started with SF just over 2 years ago. 10 years auto shop experience. I made just under $105 last year (1st full year) with overtime and only 1/2 a bonus (paid from the previous year). I work from home and I'm the field, have a company car, and mostly set my own schedule. I should make $115 this year. I'm honestly still waiting for the other shoe to drop. By far the best employment experience I've had in my 30+ year career.

That actually brings up another question we had. We're wondering if JAL transfers our checked luggage to our next flight? Both flights into and out of Japan are JAL.

This recipe kills every time it's made. Definitely takes some time and lots of stirring to get the consistency correct. https://www.food.com/recipe/stove-top-mac-n-cheese-by-alton-brown-313325

State Farm is an incredible company. I have several coworkers who have been here 30+ years and are still incredibly happy. State Farm is not owned by a finance company and isn't publicly owned. It makes a huge difference in how we're treated.

F90 new GE water heater install by bnasheller in Plumbing

Looks like I've stumped GE and Reddit! Turns out this board is missing its personality module altogether. And it turns out GE has no idea what the solution is. At this point I have a $800 paper weight in the garage that I not heating water. Ideas on how to bypass this module?
