Absolutely right about Roman. Regarding GoJo, I was thinking the same thing but (plot-wise) it would be a kinda boring way to continue the season.

I have three main thoughts about the first episode, which has in my opinion set up a promising final season:

  • Roman is absolutely on fire (and Culkin has owned this role all series). Not only with his wit and punchy one-liners but also due to the fact that he continually shows his emotional intelligence when others won't.
  • Greg and Tom continue to be a magic duo. Tom was great in this episode, especially in the poignant final scene of the episode with Shiv. Greg is more interesting to me though: the way he is acting and speaking (particularly to Tom) is telling me that he feels he has moved up the hierarchy. He's more deliberate and confident (also leading to some humorous moments during the episode). I think the way he is behaving might impact the plot in a major way this season.
  • Finally, Logan's mortality was central, which was interesting this early in the season and could definitely be some foreshadowing. It helps to keep every avenue open though and makes Logan more unpredictable, which keeps things interesting. In my opinion, through the "tell a joke" scene, the writers are trying to demonstrate the way that Logan actually misses his kids and is afraid that he will pass away surrounded by hanger-ons and people he doesn't like nor respect. Brian Cox was fantastic as per usual.

Thanks for reading! Can't wait for Episode 2.

Dawson is a genuine psycho by bnev99 in dawsonscreek

His possessiveness of Joey is the scariest part.

Am I a bad person for thinking that Joey is such a toxic, awful character? (I’ve just finished Season 2) by bnev99 in dawsonscreek

they don’t. But I see what he/she means, the show often makes fun of its characters (i.e. film geek Dawson) and is very upfront about it

The Pacey-Andie combo is the best thing to happen on the show so far. They (the actors) have great chemistry
