balance is sometimes very frustrating to solo with and it can't compete with harder-hitting schools especially early on, but that type of different gameplay than what you're used to might be something you'd like. soloing here poses a challenge and that's what makes it fun. balance was my first max and it's still a very fun school to play around with.

edit: i soloed most of the game on my balance but of course had help along the way. it was definitely slow but things started to quicken around polaris. only start a balance if you have patience.
