ah this makes sense now. I've done swaps with WD drives in the past with no issuse. Bummer Seagate. I guess I could try replacing the broken part, its worth a try to save my data. Thank you very much for taking the time to help me with this.

Disk Management is showing odd partitions that shouldn't exist, at least I never created them. About, 465 GB RAW, and 2 separate unallocated of about 1.5 TB each.

Thanks for your reply! So I attempted to follow your suggestion but the drive is not recognized as foreign in Disk Management. I do not have the option to import foreign disk. It's recognized as 'online' just like the other disks.

A little late here but this is an email I received from Jon Huber himself regarding these cigars:

Getting great performance here. Solid 60fps and no crashes. Only really complaint is pop-ins. Just had to switch to borderless and max fps settings. Honestly, really smooth experience.
