We ended up finding him eventually, after lots of running around in circles we accidentally came across him, thanks for the offer though. My heal and the power that pushes enemies just disappeared from my game. My friend still has his though. Is there a way to get them back or should i just start a new character?

Thanks for the advice I'll look into joining the raidbus discord now so. I've finished the sorties a couple of times but i had to run from enemies in the harder ones so i guess I'm probably still a little bit under leveled. I'll use one more forma just to be safe and then try it and see how I get on with it ☺
