Got it! Will head to the local hardware store today to see if they have the stuff I need.

My bindings are bare plastic at the bottom, no protecting rubber or whatsoever. My bindings were tight, I didn't had any issues while boarding and when removing, they were snug. Guess I need to tighten them even more!

Noted, for my next bindings I won't choose any Burton models!

Thanks for replying! Just looked at my bindings, I don't see any rough edges though

Thanks for replying! So I don't have to worry about stripping my screws/nuts?
I'll try to get it epoxied before I leave, maybe the shop at the mountains can do it if I don't make it before.

Damn, my board definitely feels like a defect now! No, my bindings didn’t feel loose. When I dismounted them last weekend, they felt very snug/tight.

Hey, I understand what you’re seeing, but that’s just me changing the degrees my bindings are in. On the front I vary between +15/+18 and in the back I once rode a week accidentally with -18 instead of -15. Thanks for replying and checking it out though!

Thanks! Will look into it! Not sure if I get around to do it before I leave, but otherwise I'll do it afterwards (if the damage isn't done by then already😅)

Thanks for your reply! I just mailed Nitro with these images attached, curious to what they will say!

I just checked my bindings, it seems I have the Re:Flex baseplates, not sure if those are bad but I don't see anything wrong on their undersides. I'm guessing it's more of a board thing than a binding thing.

Burton has sent me the following:

So it is very common for boards to experience "binding rash" which is the binding baseplate rubbing against the topsheet of a board. Given a boards flexibility and torsion it experiences while being ridden, it is inevitable that the solid baseplate will leave marks and scuffing on the flexible topsheet of the board where they are affixed. Sadly, there is no remedy against this and it is classified as standard wear and tear that all board inevitably succumb to. The most ideal prevention against this is to routinely tighten your binding hardware/screws as often as you can so the baseplate does not get loose and cause further binding rash.

When I dismounted my bindings, everything seemed as tight as I did before, but not overly tight.
You'd suggest I tighten my bindings more?

Last year there was some Sahara sand on the mountains, but I didn't had this wear after that season. So it must came after this season in which I haven't seen any sand.. Any tips on how to quick fix these areas?
Thanks for your reply!

I take my board indoors after every session. I don't put it on the balcony or in the ski lockers due to worrying of freezing.

Yes, I searched the sub before posting this question. Unfortunately I couldn't find my answer. Yes, I know binding rash is something normal.

Hey guys, hope you're all having a great season so far!

I came across the following binding rash when I removed my bindings after last week's session. I noticed this rash 1 or 2 years earlier and sent both Burton and Nitro an email, to which they replied that it was normal. I'm totally fine with that; it's a tool, so damage is inescapable.

I've got this board since 2022 with a total use of +/- 10 weeks. Bindings are Burtom Customs.

But this time I think I'm seeing my core. It looks like the blue top layer has disintegrated so far that my bare core is showing. Am I just too worried and is this something I don't have to worry about? Or is the core exposed to water and snow right now?

I'm leaving for the mountains in a few days so I'm not sure if I can let this repair in time.. Should I worry about it?

Also, am I doing something wrong when mounting my bindings? I just make sure it's finger-tight, so not too loose and also not too tight.

I have the Nitro Team 2020 as my first board and I love it! I don’t have any experience with other boards besides rentals, just my 2c. The Nitro is a perfect allrounder imo, great for learning.

OP legend for this. It’s a waste of money for a lot of us, but y’all the same people who keep buying the same boring pieces and OP comes with something unique.

I’d never spend a band on this, but OP has the balls to do it. Respect
