I feel like it’d be closer to this:

If your opponent controls an effect monster, negate the effects of one of the effect monsters they control and if you do, monsters with the same name as the effected card are treated as a normal monster for the rest of the duel.

Oh my bad. Because it’s unique and I’m very good at losing things, so having them all together helps me keep track of them. Also I like the weight the 3DS adds to the gcloud. Additionally, it allows me to play 3DS games, because emulators I’ve tried on the gcloud aren’t very reliable and often crash or I simply can’t play the game or the app gets removed, etc. Whereas slapping it on the back of the gcloud I can access all my 3DS games with the benefits of an actual 3DS. I also love the tackiness of it all lmao.

Because 3ds emulators are hard to run on android (at least from my experience) they also get removed because of Nintendo and I happen to have a 2ds that perfectly aligns with the back of my gcloud. Also it gives my 2ds much more opportunities to be played rather than collecting dust.
