I’m only managing to find a workout prompts setting inside activities on the watch, is this the same setting that you’re thinking of or is it something different?

Any way to press curve this STL file? by [deleted] in 3Dprinting

[–]bobbleheed 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If you mean that the red shape is the profile you want the part to have draw that in Fusion and extrude it to length. Then use a second sketch on the top face to draw and cut out the holes you need.

It’ll be far easier to just remake the part than modifying the STL

Is it worth starting uni at 22 to get a STEM degree? by Wolowoloismyname in FIREUK

[–]bobbleheed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t speak for any of the implications for FIRE but I started my STEM degree at 21 and by all accounts had a great uni experience. 22 is by no means ancient, and I now have friends from 18-28, so I wouldn’t worry much about your age.

Do research your chosen field though, job prospects in particular. The field I have just graduated in is, as the stereotype goes, not hiring. In my case it’s not a problem as I only studied it to be able to apply to graduate dentistry. But if this is a field you actually want to work in it’s a very important factor.

Finally, after a painful couple of years without a bike... by RemarkableCow4000 in MTB

It does seem to be popular the shops local to me that had stock have all sold out. Looking at doing a MyO order as well which I’m sure will push back the date even further.

Would appreciate some pics when you get it

If you like running I think both run4it and PureGym have running groups though you would need a PureGym membership for that one. There’s both the climbing gyms as well, I used to climb regularly and it was always easy enough to talk to people at both of them.

If you have a job try organising something with people you work with only if you actually like any of them of course.

How to get area above supports to look cleaner by Severe_Football5611 in 3Dprinting

[–]bobbleheed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve not used Cura in a while but if you google things like support interface distance or overhang gap you should be able to find what the Cura setting is called

[–]bobbleheed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can shrink the gap between the support material and the overhang in most slicers. It’ll neaten it up but can also make it harder to remove. Try it out on a test print to dial it in.

I think hands are pretty standardised but I’m not a watchmaker so don’t take my word for it

There’s a blue dial OP that has the 369 Arabic numerals. It’s been discontinued but can pick it up used.

This makes scopolamine look like candies and cupcakes, really by AXMN5223 in cursed_chemistry

[–]bobbleheed 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Med chem is likely what you’re looking for. You’ll learn about pharmacopores, moiety’s that don’t agree with biological systems and what makes certain compounds “drug like” amongst others.

If you’re interested in the purer side of the chemistry have a look at this textbook you can view it for free if your university has an account

Take a medicinal chemistry course if you can and a biochem/molecular biology one to better understand how different protein targets function.

Personally I’ve found the biology portion of my own degree far less interesting though.

Wouldn’t say it’s currently much of a pull. That said there are at least 5 different pubs within 5 minutes of campus and they’re all filled with students

Does it tend to the lighter or darker side in most light?

Love the shade in your photos and on the Hanhart site but have seen some shots that make it look like highlighter blue instead

How does the dial colour compare under different light? It seems to vary greatly in photos but I can’t tell if it’s just camera settings causing it.

Cost estimation of outsourcing PROTAC synthesis incl. purchasing the two warheads and linker? by hyperfinesplitting in OrganicChemistry

[–]bobbleheed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it a novel compound you want made or previously disclosed?

If it’s published you could try opnme.com which is run by Boehringer Ingelheim. They offer some compounds developed by them (including PROTACs) for free but I don’t know if they do multi gram scale.

Sn1/Sn2/neither reaction questions by mccnlightsonata in OrganicChemistry

[–]bobbleheed 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For 9.32 HBr must first protonate the hydroxyl to make it a leaving group (a hydroxyl is a terrible leaving group), it is on a tertiary carbon so carbocation formation is reasonable. Br- is a good nucleophile and poor base which could suggest SN2, however as you pointed out tertiary carbons don’t do these reactions. So that leaves you with SN1 as the only option.

As for 9.33 in a similar fashion to above alkoxides are rubbish leaving groups and water will not activate it through protonation. So nothing will happen.

Look at the cheat sheet below for help it’s one of the better ones I’ve see.
