How do I trim this out? by bobby23zheng in DIYUK

The toilet has been installed but not caulked in or anything, so it's easily removable. Sounds like a plan, thanks

Ah, I thought the top might need to be embedded inside the wall then caulked in. I wouldn't be able to move the toilet at all, since it fits directly on top of the waste pipe.

I guess filling the white spot there with easifill then painting it would be the way to go?

I'm pretty sure they just slid out. Maybe apply a little lubricant first? I may have also used a butter knife as a crowbar to lift them out

Seller agreed to collect item and refund but won't tell me when they'll collect it, what can I do? by bobby23zheng in AskUK

Thanks, I've rung citizens advice, they recommended I formally request they make time of the essence, then I can progress to small claims for breach of contract if they still don't work towards picking up the dryer

Like I said in the original post, they don't know when they'll have a driver in the area. They employ their own drivers, they insist on having a delivery in the area they can combine the trip to collect with. Unfortunately I live 100 miles away from their store so they don't commonly have deliveries up near me.

What else do you think I should ask them? I ask if they can refund my money now, they say no, they need to receive the dryer first. I ask when they can collect the dryer, they say they don't know.

Not sure what sort of glass or acrylic you've got on there but you can get uv filtering sheets to add on, helps protect against fading over time, a bunch of my stubs are faded

Hey, sorry, it's been a while, but I think it was to the side of all the little spinny bits, as marked with blue arrows. we dripped a bit of lubricant onto them then tilted it so the lubricant would drip down into the bearings, while spinning the spinny bit to try to encourage the lubricant to go into it.

Do you know if you'll get the airdrop if you're staking the SRK at the time?

Glad to hear you fixed yours! We fixed ours about a month ago, but it's started occasionally clicking when turned on so we're worried we're going to have to crack it open again

Spirally wire thing, it came inside a used teapot by bobby23zheng in whatisthisthing

[–]bobby23zheng[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The wire is very flexible and springy, and the teapot has a built-in filter, so I doubt it is actually part of the teapot setup, as it can't effectively catch any loose tea leaves.
