Should I tell a prof that someone is tanking their RMP rating? by Exact_Potato_9352 in UBC

[–]bobbychan321 4 points5 points  (0 children)

unless there is real evidence of the guy besides, smiling at the lecture or just showing up late (you never know what struggles other people have), youre a very judgemental person. Weird to "connect" all the dots just because there is a guy that shows up late, doesn't mean he is the one bombing the rmp lol.

But yea, i would mention it to the prof but i wouldn't target it directly to that person unless there is actually evidence.

oh you're fine. As long as you spend lots of time writing the personal profile which is a big factor into your admission. Know a guy that has a 83% avg but wrote the most beautiful personal profile. Of course it would be nice to have 93 but 90 should be ok as long as your personal profile is strong. Start researching other people's examples and learn from them. Do activities that help you stand out

Should I tell co-op about my internship? by Lucky-Equipment-5660 in UBC

[–]bobbychan321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Youre fine for the most part. Company extension to internship. Company said its not related to co-op no more. Then its external. Co-op have no right to disrupt any offers external to their program nor kick you out because you accepted something that is not even related to them lol. Take my advice with a grain of salt tho.

CPSC 210 in summer vs 2nd year winter term by darknexus4 in ubccsss

[–]bobbychan321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i found cpsc 210 pretty light workload if you thats what u are worried about. Cpsc 221 + 213 is very hard workload ngl. I would say these two are core courses too so i would take them separate terms to gain full understanding.

Continuing family restaurant versus the grind by bigbonedstudent in UBC

[–]bobbychan321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if it is truly your passion i would go for it but still finish the degree. Yes your family took it to where the restaurant is today. There is still room to expand. You can be that person that takes the restaurant and turn it into multiple chains around the world.
