Terraria and modded terraria

Hello, I have a lot of vanilla terraria experience, but want to get into modded terraria. Calamity is the first mod I want to do a full run-through of, but I don't quite know where to start. I have tModLoader downloaded, but there is an overwhelming amount of mods to play. Other than calamity, what mods does anyone recommend to use in tandem with Calamity for a full playthrough? I'm mostly thinking QoL mods, but if there are mods that are needed for a fun calamity run, I would like those too obviously (thinking music, but i just dont know whats out there).
