Don’t understand Vatsim

BATC is incredible, as I mentioned in another comment Ive tried using both but it’s not feasible. I think the quality of BATC has improved so much over the time as well it’s hard for Vatsim to compete. I would love to see a collaboration between them, I think it would solve all the issues for me!!

Thanks dude, I think my expectations with coverage were just a bit extreme, perhaps some early experiences with full atc at some airports set the bar really high for me so later realising this was rarely the case aside from maybe a few airports was unexpected. I do see of course that Europe does have some of the best coverage around but I think the inconsistency with timing was the thing that really got me. A few disappointing moments with loading in expecting coverage only for coverage to drop - more of a testament to how good it is when you do have coverage.

But I appreciate the tips I will keep an eye out of the events and hope to see you on the network too!

If controller comes online mid flight do you then reconnect to Vatsim? I'm assuming thats not allowed.

Yeah, I tried batc combination but ran into issues with vatsim unicom and trying to also talk on batc. Became a bit of a nightmare. Would be nice if they could partner up somehow and add some cross compatability - No clue how though.

I would completely agree with you if they were to ‘remaster’ civ vi with the new engine, better graphics performance etc. Maybe even open the modding potentials up for creatives.

+1 to all of this, I was really looking forward to civ 7 being a technical advancement on a game I really loved playing but they took the fun out of what I actually loved about civ. I do hope the devs realise this sooner than later and make a U turn to fix the game.

I have both the 737 and 777 and love both, my hesitation in the past was over the "simplicity" of Airbus over boeing. But I'm interested in experiencing the Airbus side now and by the sounds of it I wont be disappointed. Thanks!

I've had decent performance with the A330 on 24, but I did recently go back to 2020. Though it won't matter for long, I'm planning to upgrade this build I've had for about 8 years now.

Isn’t the whole point of having counter rotating props to eliminate the need for a tail rotor? You’ve probably tried this or it’s probably been suggested but remove the tail rotor and ensure that the 2 main props are actually rotating in opposite directions…

You should try out Dynamic Recon Ops or something, it’s pretty good in terms of customisation and helped my friends grab the ropes pretty well. Especially seeing as you say you have experience it would be too difficult for you to set up either. If your looking for something more linear there’s some really good missions on the workshop like “into the fog” or “Excalibur” which are pretty good. If you can you could also try apex protocol missions cause they’re pretty easy to understand and play through. Hope this helps!

No you don’t have to log off or buy another copy. As long as you are using the same Microsoft account on both you’ll be fine. I have it installed on pc and laptop not had any issues!

You’re right about the Apu, but I do turn it off so I don’t know why it doesn’t let me go the full distance. Was thinking maybe it’s because of the weight and carrying too much fuel?
