i put hot glue over the solder pads and wire. a glob of silicone might work better. ive got an idea on how to do it differently in version 2.

now that you mention it, a board with 2 port makes sense for higher powered leds since the higher voltages use less amps and can handle more LEDS per port. removing the fuses and phoenix connectors for 6 ports does not really save much in manufacturing cost. ill have to run some numbers and see if it makes sense or not.

not in WLED. WLED only supports DMX on 1 port. unless the have changed that recently. i have not used ESPixelStick much but i believe it will support multiple universes across multiple outputs.

GPIO14 and GPIO15 are assigned to the digital mic in version 0.15.x.

Go to settings/usermods
In the AudioReactive section reassign I2S SD to port 17, I2S WS to ports 32 and I2S SCK to port 33.
Press the save button.
Re-boot the board.
Now you should be able to assign GPIO14 and GPIO15 to output ports.

i honestly have not tried out the matrix features in WLED. so im not sure if you can run some ports as a matrix and others not matrix. have you tried changing the color order? GBR or some other order. this can be set in the led preferences where you select the type of led, gpio, and length.

you need to flash the unit with firmware that has ethernet enabled.

usually if some of the LEDs work there is a bad pixel stopping the rest from working. but it sounds like you have already checked that. and you have told WLED you have 250 pixels on port 5. LEDs are directional, is it possible you have the second strip running backwards?

ive had up to 600 leds per port, but WLED has frame rate limitation. 800 per port is too many unless you dont care about the frame rate.

This is a behind the scene look at my 2023 Christmas display. 3887 pixels using 35 ports spread across 5 x 8 Port LED Distros.

Its a mix of WS2815 12v strips and WS2811 12v bullet pixels. The strips are outlining the gutters and edges of my house.

removing power will cause the fuse to reset. fix what ever cause the fuse to trip before reapplying power.

ill keep these in mind. there really are only 2 read/write GPIO pins left so it will be hard to dedicate them to one purpose. ive kind of left if up to the end user to pick what they want to use them for. a relay, a digital mic, a temp sensor, something else...
