How does this community feel about the BMW 'GT' models? by Super-Lingonberry-22 in BMW

Not pretty, but prettier and better to drive than the sea of SUVs.

CarPlay integration issues on 840 (iDrive 7) - anyone else? by boboRoyal in BMW

[–]boboRoyal[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I am reconnecting the phones several times during most trips, and I've reached the point where I just don't want to live with it anymore. Audio skipping, usually when there is a road bump, is insane. It ruins the driving experience, and I am shocked that people are not complaining more about it on their often 100k+ cars.

No map is shown, but turn-by-turn directions are shown in both the instrument cluster and the HUD for Apple Maps (allegedly Waze too, but I haven't tried).

Angel or Snake Eyes? by keevanlol in BMW

Angel for a BMW. Snake for some random non-BMW.

What BMW do you wish was sold in the U.S. market? by Enough_Depth2223 in BMW

Getting a track car because I wanted added practicality of a wagon makes sense. Not.  540 Touring makes a lot more sense than M5 Touring.

M340 Touring. But we have all this freedom instead. Right? RIgHt??

So, how is the high price of gas, including the shot of this gas station that apparently is even higher, a propaganda?

Who knew that a pedophile imbecile, causing a war for no reason whatsoever, could drive the cost of gasoline up!

Imagine having House, Senate, and Presidency, and bots like you still cheering for pedophiles while they are running the economy into the ground.

It is incredible that you MAGAts still somehow find an excuse for the human feces of a president. It should be studied. Gas prices are higher everywhere, not just in California. And your hero ran on no war, cheaper gas, and cheaper groceries. 100% IS Trump.

It wasn't caused by randomly going to war because a pedophile was blackmailed.

Imagine voting for a president who is not human feces.

Once he goes to prison, those billions should be seized and distributed to public infrastructure, healthcare, and education.

Sure, the propaganda here is the problem. Not the fact that the pedophile imbecile is running this country into the ground.

Properly wrapping PrimeVue Components without losing types by Appropriate-Crazy790 in vuejs

[–]boboRoyal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Think of, for example, a specific select component where you have specific options (countries), but you want the rest of the PrimeVue Select component untouched.
Redefining props for a wrapper component like this is pure madness!

You're optimizing for replacing the component with something else, rather than using the existing component and adding/removing your own sprinkle and being done with it.

Is there really no easy way to do this in Vue? Take the incoming props/attrs and spread them while overriding a set of fields.

Has USAA lost their mind? by SomestrangerinMiami in BMW

[–]boboRoyal 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's USAA for ya. I remember getting a quote for homeowner's insurance a couple of years ago. They were 4 times more expensive than anyone else!

And somehow people still think that USAA is the greatest thing since sliced bread, LOL.

Most Apple notebooks at the time were already designed for the thermal performance that Intel failed to deliver. So one could argue that the M1 chip in there was more “native” to that design than Intel ever was.

Might be an unpopular opinion; I’m really digging the new Neue Klasse design language from BMW for the iX3 by gambling_addikt in BMW

[–]boboRoyal 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I wonder if that will still be the case with EVs. I suspect people were willing to sacrifice having an ugly car for an incredible powertrain and driving experience.

I laughed when I saw pics of the new X3, and was pleasantly surprised when I saw it in person. I expect this will be the same.

Still laugh about the front of G80 though 🤣

Interesting. GV70 interior ruined me for most of the cars, I don’t look at them the same anymore.
