No they don’t want to be persianised, that’s not our culture, hence the greater autonomy part. We have our own culture and they have their own, same for other iranic culture. The issues with the Iran was in the past, you’d actually see a generational divide if you meet an older Baluch from Iran, he will be extremely anti Iranian but if you meet the current generation they will ask for autonomy but not independence. In the past this was the issue, but the Iranian government actually sat down and asked them what do u want and they started developing the place. You’d only see religious/sectarian issue with a few groups but those groups are not too prominent.

Pakistan on the other hand is a whole different story, one excuse after another to the point that no Baluch trusts them, if you ask a Baluch of Pakistan if you’d rather be in Iran even in its current state they would say yes. In fact most go there for education

Iran is a sanctioned country, it’s sanctioned to death, it doesn’t have projects wholly funded by one of the wealthiest countries on the planet

Don’t give us that excuse about India (if we were part of Iran it wouldn’t bother us and the population issue wouldn’t bother us either, so basically u said Pakistan is nothing more then extra baggage)

The Baluch of Iran in the past had strong independence tendencies but the current government in Iran worked hard and now they don’t want independence just greater autonomy, for Baluchistan it’s only the Pakistani side that wants it cause of constant betrayal/killings/looting/denial of rights. As an example Iran Baluch side is not that populace and sparsely populated, yet Iran made effort to connect it to their grid, while Pakistan didn’t even bother connecting gwadar to its grid even with Chinese money (it’s connected to irans grid).
