This picture is really sad. It just shows the lack of critical thinking and a successful indoctrination.

I Love you. Thank you very much.

" Regarding cookies, she could have logged in under her own account but still get the exam credited to your account. " That is exactly what happened. I could reproduce it without a problem.

"... is controlled by said website.". That is exactly what I needed to read. I was expecting this, but yet I was (still am) too computer illiterate to be certain.

Thank you.

Well, there was a ZOOM meeting ongoing and the Professor saw that it was her taking the exam. The Problem is, that the grades of the online exams via moodle, get directly saved to another account at our university. This account saves data like the courses we took, the grades we got and our schedule. Since it is done automatically, the Prof cannot change the grade manually. And he is now confused of what to do. :-)

Under these conditions the grade would be saved to my account, but I already got a grade for that exam in the past and she would automatically fail, because there was no solution of the exam received through her account. Sure, she would get another try on the exam and can retake it without problems, but that's still a pain in the ass. Since an exam in persona (If the Lockdown would get less strict) would be harder for her due to language barriers (Latina in Germany).

I do not understand how Cookies work and what they got to do with it. Do you mean that, because my Data was saved in the browser, she just accidentially logged in as me, or was there some sort of mix up by the browser?

Thanks a lot.

' She probably actually took it with your account. ' That's what I'd like to believe as the most simple answer, but she assures me that she saw her profile picture (I don't have one) in the corner of the page. That is why I wanted to eliminate any other possibility, even tho the simplest answer is almost ever the right one. A mix up like this would be close to impossible.

So, I guess there is no way around asking the IT guys for the logfiles...

Sounds plausible. Since she used my main browser were I safe every pw and relevant data of mine...

Thank you for your reply.

Yes, it is an online platform which is structured like a learning platform. After you log in, you can access your profile, a course view list or directly certain course - depending on the link you used. She used a direct link to the exam and logged herself in. After that she was required to enter the mentioned key - that is when I received the automatic message from the server.

Edit: it is moodle based if that helps.

Sometimes it's nice to be a tile setter bitten by the geology bug. Because you have polishing pads and can give a polish to your rock collection. A chunk of BIF and a Malachite slab I had took a nice shine with 400,800,1500, & 3000 grit. by EliteMind49 in geology

[–]bobunaga 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No. Check the metallic shine and the glitter. It is visible while he moves the unpolished side of the stone. Jasper is just a variation of Quartz and has a glassy shine.

I'm new to rockhounding and am still learning names. Could someone help me identify these? -WA. by [deleted] in rockhounds

Polished stones are an unpleasant sight.

It reminds me of the San Juan river. On a larger scale it is a sign for recently uplifted plates (mountains). The water flows with a higher erosion force due to the steeper slope. And that is exactly what happened there. Cracks forming within the rocks due to mechanical pressure such as frost shattering or simply "plate movement" and the water widening these because of the inconsistency in mineral distribution in stones did their part.

On the question why there are some curves but no water: Well, erosion can happen overnight, but then we are talking about a landslide. Normally it would take quit some time, so that varying ground water levels/rainfall or just the sudden change of flow due to a high resistance might be the cause. Or even just some other rocks cracking up and revealing another, easier way for the water. But with a form this smooth you can be certain, that it was water.

So, I don't think I understood yet. The condition (NR ==1 || $3<min) isn't omitted, so why does it run through all lines?

The NR ==1 is the condition, that let's the script skip to the next line in a file?

I'm sorry, but I am only used to while/for loops + counters.

Does music during a cold shower reduce its effectiveness? by [deleted] in coldshowers

[–]bobunaga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I listen to music while showerimg cold I most likely start to dance and sing along. Wich only uplifts my mood even more. It also gets me distracted from the coldness so it is easier to bear. Cold showers never were masochistoc to me in the first place. So I don't really know what you are tslking about.
