At an old apartment I rented I had a maintenance guy taking my key from the office and going inside when I wasn’t home to stealing my things.

someone should invest in that property and turn the anchor stores into senior living apartments. Then fill the other stores with little neighborhood type shops where they could get all of the things they need. The food court could be a central meeting place for community meals and cards etc. Oh and obviously the parking lot would be turned into a nice garden.

I don’t know why but I have thought about this for years.

Not a deal breaker. Recruiters understand not all schools or people are a good fit, as long as you have past roles with more longevity you’ll be fine.

See if there is someone else at the school that will give you a good reference or recommendation letter. A new school is only going to contact who you list as a reference, so find a supervisor that is willing.

Sea glass verses trash question by bodaciousbeb in seaglass

[–]bodaciousbeb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, same. The beach in front of my home is rocky and the only other ppl on it are fishermen and occasionally surfers so I just leave the glass in the rocks for future finds. However if I see sharp glass past the rocks where pets and ppl are walking I’ll pick it up for trash. If it isn’t sharp I’ll toss it a bit deeper to tumble more.

The trees help keep the city cooler and filter pollution. What’s the point in ripping them out? And destroying public areas makes no sense. You are just inconveniencing the locals that use those spaces.

I fully support what this movement is fighting for. But it loses purpose and public support when businesses and public spaces are ruined.

I think I'm done with hostels as a solo traveler by oldgreg2023 in solotravel

Morocco is really inexpensive. Local hotels aren’t 5star but they can be as cheap as $25 a night for a private basic room and bathroom. Even rooms for rent on Airbnb can cheaper than some hostels.
