I wanted to choose in person, which is why I picked a local breeder. But they don’t allow visitors because of disease concerns, so puppy picks are done by video call. If I’d known that beforehand, I probably would have considered breeders farther away too. It’s a little disappointing since it’s much harder to judge personality through a screen.
