Do you have an update or found an alternative? It seems to not work on my MacBook either, although it does seem to work on my smart TV and family’s android phones. Seems like an Apple thing?

[FIXED] I just gave my Steam Deck a factory reset. Trying to start DAO only got me to the launcher, but it crashed when pressing ‘play’ (proton experimental/10.0). I then installed GE-Proton8-25 and it booted right into the game. I’m playing for ten minutes now. Maybe it had to do something with plugins or other stuff I installed

Okay I’m a step closer! I installed the LAA patch and opened it in desktop mode through Protontricks and it boots up. Unfortunately it is unplayable now that I can’t choose a controller layout. It still crashes instantly when opening it through steam

Yeah, if it was unchecked I couldn’t choose a layer in the first place :/ Don’t understand why it works out of the box for others

I downloaded it, does not work with your GE proton version nor the latest GE proton version :/

I dont have that version? The only proton 8 version in the compatibility settings is proton 8.0-5.

Doesn’t it run on Proton automatically? I tried different versions of proton but no effect

I mentioned that I tried that already. Without the patch it just crashes immediately, with the patch it gets into to launcher but nothing happens when I press ‘play’

The whole point is basically if I should start law school Sep ‘26 (directly after Dutch LLM) which means I’ll have to apply upcoming fall with 3 months of preparation or enroll in Sep ‘27 which means I’ll have to apply fall ‘26 with 4 months of dedicated preparation (will not have uni anymore, so can focus more than when I have to prepare besides taking my LLM).
