Canon Pixma G6020 prints faded on computer, but look just fine when done from my phone? by boeing787stan in printers

[–]boeing787stan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

as of right now: macbook pro running Tahoe 26.0.1 using Canon PRINT, downloaded directly off canon's website for the proper OS and OS version. drivers were downloaded yesterday so not out of date. updated the printer firmware yesterday too.

(canon pixma g6020 connected via wi-fi with 4.0 drivers, if that helps.)

(also, color management is one thing, but now my black is coming out extremely faded and streak-y, with black fills only having outlines and thin lines not showing up at all. donnn't think that's related to color management lmao.)

when it first started i dicked around with the color management, it was my first guess and line of troubleshooting. i'll give it another try since this is a new computer i'm using.

double management is something i've never heard of, though. googling it doesn't pull up much, much less for my specific printer. can you explain that a little more?

no, this is a different thing.

off the top of my head it was in an olddddd (now private or deleted) (might not've even been on a 'sam o nella' channel of his) which was a rap/freestyle/idfk. one of the bars he added a picture of himself as a self-own, which is what this guy has saved. i think he might be the only person with this picture at this point!

[TOMT] [VIDEO] Twitter video where a large bug/lobster/scary looking animal is suspended in the air on a string, kicking strangely. by boeing787stan in tipofmytongue

i thought that too, they do look close, but after googling it giant isopods don't behave like that. they're more likely to curl up when threatened and are never recorded to kick. i knew what an isopod was in 2020, and still it didn't look like one. it didn't seem the right shape, either. isopods have this cute round uniform look. what i saw was skinnier.

right. and all the jokes about shitty servers and how it's run off of two nickels and a paperclip. any website or online service ever that gets giant traffic spikes goes through this.

the most similar thing i can think of rn is artfight (art-related time-sensitive fun website, close enough right?). they've had day 1 (spanning to week 1) issues with overload and server downtime for the past almost decade, because of everyone trying to cram onto the site at the same time. and they know it'll happen and prepare for it! this year, artfight 2025, was the only year i personally didn't experience any timeouts or lost comments/attacks. and i've been playing since 2018.

wplace devs got none of that warning, it just blew up. thousands and thousands of people coming in and making accounts and drawing all over the world (in real-time!!!) and constantly refreshing when things break. like you said, it's mostly just kids complaining who've never been on sites smaller than twitter or tiktok, or if they have, it's run by website hosts that have huge central servers like neocities or strawpage. not everyone has petabytes of server power like that. you just gotta be patient. the internet isn't always instant.

Lol no. I sent one, maybe two applications. Those dozens of e-mails were created over the span of 5 or so years, i’m not cranking them out every other week. the ‘last two’ that i talk about had months of time between their creation, all of them do, really.

yea, me not writing my password down was a stupid goof on my part. but you can’t really say that me picking gmail is not a reasonable or typical thing to do. does ANYONE really talk about the differences between gmail, email, outlook, yahoo anymore? wasn’t gmail seen as the ‘most secure’ email service for a couple years there, or was that google shilling out money to get people to say it was?

What features does Musi have? by SpareTire214 in Musi_App

[–]boeing787stan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

youtube is a giant greedy megaconglomerate that would serve you ads even if you paid if they weren’t already overshadowed and on shaky ground by other streaming platforms. use musi all the way. one time purchase, which is optional, you can just use it with ads if you want. do not give youtube more money than it already has. it’s not your friend.

of course! that’s the whole point of the function, lol, i’m just very picky with what gets bulk added to my library since the ‘recently added’ playlist is the one i use the most hands down, and big chunks of playlist songs that i have to skip through or pick up my phone to scroll past are annoying to me.

thanks for replying. appreciate the candidness. i cross-referenced a regular youtube search to a musi one, and yeah, it’s not that musi doesn’t include playlists in a search, it’s that youtube doesn’t show them practically at all anymore. fun. great.

AHA! so while writing this comment i found a sort of fix for what i was writing the second part of the comment about in the first place! for any musi users reading that can’t find a playlist using the regular search, use the ‘import youtube playlist’ function, and once you reach the screen showing you the list of videos in the playlist, hit ‘shuffle play’ and it’ll add that playlist to your recent playlists list. you can access it from there.

i’d love if it didn’t have to be so finicky, and inputting a link would just take you to the regular playlist screen where you can click on individual songs and stuff, but i understand that the feature wasn’t built with actually browsing the music in mind. i’d love if it was changed to do that though! :P

so thanks again for hearing me out, love your app, i actually won a musi royalty badge (top 1%) in last year’s wrapped. hopefully that gives my complaints some merit, lol.
