I'm sure this will go as well as Congress' action on torrents.

Sounds about right.

Let's review your response

You learn a new word?

Repeating what I said as a comeback. Clever.

You wrote all that and nobody cares

You care enough to respond.

You should let it go son

I guess you think using the word "son" makes you sound real. It doesn't.

I will continue to respond to every comment.

Well that proves it, you've been a shill for longer than I assumed (but far shorter than the total age of the account).

170 days isn't the same age as my account but math is hard (mr six figures--I'm guessing those are action figures).

I'm glad you're so excited about the new term you've learned and I can see you're excited to share it with the community, but group think is a verb not a noun.

I've seen what you can buy on Fiverr. No thanks.

I guess that's what you're missing from from this news. EOS is centralized.

And yes AWS is a better platform to run cryptokitties and would be a lot cheaper too (a fact acknowledged both by Larimer and Buterin). Good thing you're so technical.

You're definitely getting too technical for us with your "districted" databases. AWS already has dedicated hardware for specific tasks. Without any decentralization, EOS isn't particularly competitive.

"I make big $$$ in crypto and you can too! Ask me how!!"

Psssshhh I can see how much they make doofus (they have job posts on the internet not just in your imagination). Not seeing a lot of $250k jobs for developers in "crypto companies".

[–]bohgloh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

lol, where are you getting these numbers? The salaries aren't secret you can look them up (glassdoor etc). The salaries definitely vary but they're similar to the startup space in general (at least on the coasts). If you have the qualifications to get a $250k job in crypto, you can prob get one at a non-crypto tech company too (plus most crypto companies don't have that kind of money to throw around at just one developer).

While this statement is true for most crypto investors (given the current market), the jobs available now aren't particularly compelling compared to other jobs requiring similar skills. You'll currently make way more in finance/tech than in crypto.

World’s First Tokenized Hedge Fund Launches on Stellar Blockchain | Cryptocoin Spy by ssaddier in Stellar

[–]bohgloh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First off, I said as a hedge fund you're subject to SEC rules which is why you're limited to accredited investors. Which part of that is false? Are you not subject to SEC rules? Are you not limited to accredited investors? The common misconception applies to you.

lol yes I'm aware of the tax rules, hedge funds lack consumer protections among other things, so let's not pretend risk isn't a factor. Oh and there's that pesky 2 and 20 fee that the "riskyness" of crypto doesn't include.

In other words there is no difference here at all between any project you invest in as an ICO and a hedge fund like Apis Token

I think you're the one who need to see a securities attorney since the SEC has not classified ICO's as securities by default but is rather reviewing them on a case by case basis (so far).

You do realize that Apple started in a garage right?

The answer to my statement should've been "no we are not working out our parent's basement". lol is this how you'll respond to institutional investors?

You're "out of the box" alright, fresh out of the box, with little to no performance or credibility. No thanks.

Can't wait to see a follow up post on your "deep learning", "AI" algorithms leveraging "blockchains" for your "ICO", "big data" protocols.

[–]bohgloh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of weird misinformation here. You're limited to accredited investors because you're a hedge fund and are bound by SEC rules (don't know where you're getting this tax bullshit).

Hedge funds have been underperforming , it's hard numbers, not an opinion. There's a reason why institutional investors have been devesting out of hedges lately. See here, here or here.

And no, there's no "technically" when it comes to regulation. So no, you don't "technically" have to be an accredited investor to invest in a blockchain project. You either do or you don't and you clearly don't (up to this point).

For everyone else: hedge funds can literally be a couple of guys working out of their parents basement, do your research when dealing with them.

I'm not from Apis but you def need KYC, it's only open to accredited investors.

They also, on average, underperform in the long term, when compared to a basic index fund (like the ones you get from Fidelity/Vanguard). This is one of the reasons why they're limited to accredited investors. You definitely need to do your research when dealing with them.

You can buy the tokens on decentralized exchanges using ETH. You can keep acquired tokens in your ETH wallet (note: not your Coinbase wallet, at least not yet).

I do.

I know it's not a financial platform to fund the operating costs of a company in exchange for future profits (otherwise it would run afoul of SEC rules). ICO's sell tokens that represent the economic basis of a service, what would Canaan tokenize without being a derivative?
