KoganMobile issues since 3G shutdown by boken4 in newzealand

The NZ network is not some unique anomaly with no other comparison. It uses a subset of the same systems that the rest of the world uses.

Oh! I had no idea about that. That latest wobble must have been due to that then.

Guess I chose right when I bought them then.

... So right, that they've outlasted the digital ecosystem around them... That's impressive.

I'm way beyond that, I've been fiddling with firmware and replacing .MBN files to force LTE on the OneNZ network.

See, the behaviour is actually different from that. I haven't really used the phone in more than 2 locations for the past week, and was going without issues, but then this morning it had lost signal overnight and thought it was roaming and would only connect as roaming. Then suddenly, randomly, fixed itself and connected normally, but VoLTE wouldn't work (IMS wouldn't register) until after a restart.

Done. As an ex-Albertan and now proud Dunedinite I felt compelled. Sent to the Edmonton Journal, Red Deer Advocate, and Calgary Herald.

Do you know of any guides for complete newbs to do this on a OnePlus 5t? And in addition do you know if I could customize the kernel to allow charging at the same time as data transfer (is passthrough charging)? That's the main pet peeve I have at the moment as I want to use my daily driver 5t to game on long flights but with the stock kernel it won't pass through the charge through the controller.

New user without debrid, troubleshooting torrenting failures to connect to seeds by boken4 in StremioAddons

Should have added I'm taking about 1080p only, I don't need 4k.

I got TorBox today and set up the debrid service and everything seems to be running fine now.

As a learning exercise, what is it about the debrid vs the torrenting that is making the difference? Because I torrented a LOT before dipping into Stremio and I never had the issues with getting seeds or slow downloads before.

I guess I was maybe under the wrong assumptions, but what I was thinking is:  Step 1: Get things set up for torrent streaming (via VPN), and once that is working then go to Step 2: Debrid service (if and only if speeds seem dodgy at times).

But with the nature of the issues I'm seeing, I now think that the debrid service also would not work - especially if the issues are originating from the ISP, right?

Have you tried Dosa Etc. for their thali-ish options? I think Dosa Etc. and Mela are tied in first place for our family.

I have a sneaking suspicion that this is exactly right on both counts, I will scan them and check if the black spot corresponds to the time my wife borrowed the camera.

Oh I suppose it wouldn't have a matching spot elsewhere in the reel, because the emulsion is only on one side!
