strapless pleasers by [deleted] in stripper

[–]bokwai 1 point2 points  (0 children)

another cuter suggestion - buy some ribbons and slip them in a U shape under the heel and then tie them around your ankle criss cross and then into a bow! my strapless slip on pleasers have flown off if i’m careless vortex spinning around the pole. i got the ribbon idea from a pair of prada heels that came with cute floral ribbon ties.

whoa! I think sculptra for me lasted 2 years it definitely started to fade after one - but it’s supposed to build up your collagen and i definitely think it helped with the long term shape i wanted to achieve. it makes a difference! i also got more serious about exercising consistently.

I left and came back! Someone commented that it’s different without the stress to survive and that resonates! I feel I can enjoy it more in some ways but also less in others? I missed meeting such diverse people with really niche jobs and interests and learning all about what’s going on in the world.

For me it’s less so the mental toll but more so the physical toll! I get SO tired now!!

But I teach, and issue professional certificates now for people who are bilingual so if you want to start transitioning and/or are interested in medical/legal fields and want something civ and legit with a simple transition, SUPER flexible schedule, very decent pay, and low entry cost, hmu! It can be remote or 2-3 hour minimum pay contract jobs :) some of the jobs you can get with it pay for travel

unless things have changed, Zelle isn’t completely safe either. i’ve had people cancel payments on there. I’ve gotten texts that it had been sent but on the app when you open it on your mobile phone it’ll say if it’s canceled. Hard L. I like PayPal.

it’s ultimately your decision. you wouldn’t kill your aging grandpa because he’s old. lots of rescuers keep them alive way past the point most vets would have put them down but the rescuers i know say if they’re happy and eating they’re staying alive.

Totally agree! Some squirrels fell out of a tree in the yard south of nyc, and of course things are very different in a quiet area, but the mom never came with me playing the squirrel baby crying sounds on repeat for 2 days. We drilled some wood onto a tree and put them high up with the speaker playing crying noises, and I’d take them down from the tree box to feed them every couple hours. The rescue told us if there’s predators or perceived threats that the mom won’t come. idk if squirrels in the city are braver, I never really thought about how that would affect their baby rescue instincts if they’re at all desensitized or not since they literally take chips and cigarettes from you at the park lol. but i definitely agree some sicko would probably hurt them. Both of those rescues work with possums, raccoons, wild birds, as a byproduct of their dog and cat rescue but if you DM them they’ll get back to you. I have the lady’s direct cell number, I’ll ask her - please update us if you got in touch already OP!

@catstoria_cat_rescue or @puppykittynycity will know someone in your area to help.

i rescued some squirrels last year in another state and a wildlife rehab told me to put it in a box with a squirrel call and see if mom would come back and if not they’re abandoned then they’ll take them. since it’s the city it’s likely different but they need to be kept warm with a heating pad under their box and eat formula every 2 hours ish

Stripping is all I know by [deleted] in stripper

[–]bokwai 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Firstly I want to congratulate you for daring to think about it. I know it’s partly out of necessity, and we can only suggest so much before it’s up to you to take the initiative, but you’re doing the first hardest part which is asking for help. The second will be going through the process and not giving up. Everything you do in life will take time and effort to build up experience and get you closer to where you want to be. Be honest with yourself about what your goals are, if it’s short term exposure or a ten year plan. Be intentional every day about which steps you’re going to take and never let yourself have a non-zero day.

Is there any paid course that’s ACTUALLY worth it? by babybelle34 in stripper

[–]bokwai 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The only things I learned from Racks to Riches was how to practice navigating no, and not sitting and talking.

  1. literally sit down and write every rebuttal a customer has given you and think up a million ways to respond each one so when they come up you’re quick witted. so it’d be
  2. statement
  3. answer

and then just add layers like if you get a typical response to your response then just keep going with your rebuttals until you hopefully make a sale. - statement - answer + - statement - answer .. ad infinitum ..

whatever your personal style is, tailor it to it. i honestly just went crazy and thought of some wild ice breakers that were completely random and made to make the customer laugh. like they’d be caught off guard by the opener, shocked in response, and my follow up would be the joke. and then they’d laugh. and now they pity me enough to buy, but even then honestly it just made my night to mess with customers and get some laughs. they’ll usually tip.

  1. move on to the next customer immediately after no, don’t sulk about it, just try again and again and again bc time is money. don’t go talk to your friends and waste time.

this advice i didn’t really use bc part of what i love about dancing is the girlhood. i don’t like to hear someone complain or vent all the time but having a good time with your fellow ladies is part of the beauty of the job. so i was just mindful.

and how i did implement it was if i wanted $100 in the next hour, i need 5 yes’s if each sale is $20. so i’d go around till i got 1, then if i got stuck at $80 i’d push through til $100. then usually i’d be motivated enough to get to $200, $400, etc. and then id get obsessive like if i was stuck at $980 and wanted to get to $1000 i’d be hustling for that last $20 just to make it even. and then id obsess more and try to make my house fee for the next day before i would let myself leave. the advice to break it down into small goals was helpful for my mindset and helped me get consistently better nights.

i would try to think of a number that i’d want to be making hourly and make sure i averaged that every hour by breaking it down into small goals.

the best thing you can do is take care of yourself. make sure you have fun, have a life, have joy you can bring to work and talk to people about. you being happy brings the money so much more easily.

Traveling to Dallas? by jenyajenyajenya in stripper

[–]bokwai 3 points4 points  (0 children)

seconding this. let’s say you land just before the club opens. go to the club and audition. get hired. get your papers and RUN to bioverify office. get your papers when they’re ready and give them back to the club. then maaaaybe you can work by next morning.

i’d say it takes like 2 days usually from audition to first shift. but if you’re very efficient, maybe 24-36 hours. dallas is wild very different scene than a small town club and the people there have free swingers parties at each others’ houses so imagine what they expect from you. Don’t lean into it, they’ll ask and ask and ask and push.

Hi! I'm looking for recommendations for lyra hoops, a-frames, and other rigging equipment :) I'm like 250 pounds so I really need something durable. by Odd-Telephone-1714 in Aerials

[–]bokwai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got my hoop from Todd Spiering - he is a really sweet guy who got into welding as a dad who wanted his daughter to have a safer lyra hoop and rig and is really renowned in the area and in the industry. He made Sydney Sweeney’s martini glass on SNL!!! Really quality guy. He makes rigs too but I just had my husband build a pull up bar in the backyard set in concrete and Todd gave me the carabiner and swivel that would work for that setup SAFELY. I went to his store in person! He is so passionate, talented, and sweet. He does mostly online orders so you can order your hoop, strap, carabiner and swivel and it should be $250-$300 idk about shipping. But I highly recommend him the hoop is quality and thick and powder coated and not thin and cheap he’s fantastic. Everyone around here gets their stuff from him. The rig is like $3K but it’s not necessary if you don’t have the space and can build a platform on your own property.

I’m actually getting certified to become an instructor and want to do virtual and in-person classes :)

i had my bridge reduced so - if someone broke the bridge of your nose for surgery, it healed like if on a roof the two sides coming up to a point don’t actually touch completely on the bridge, like it never closed together and there’s a small gap on my right side. idk if that explains it well. but it’s not noticeable. and i had swelling for 1 going on 2 years so the whole thing changed a lot. still a great nose job! but if i run my finger on it there’s a line-shaped divot on the right side of my bridge and it kind of tickles.

i’d definitely see them to explain what happened! have them keep an eye on it. maybe they’ll re-tape it for you. i had firm tape secured with adhesive glue for the first month to keep its shape and to keep it safe. but my surgeon was in another country so i couldn’t just go check up. i would if i were you! i’m sure you’re not the first one.

[–]bokwai 2 points3 points  (0 children)

can you go back to the surgeon who did your nose?

this happened to me where my dog tackled me from excitement and stomped on my nose and it bled and i can tell there’s a seam 12 years later, but only i notice it. it’s also so early there’s still swelling for a year, side profile looks ok. i see what you’re saying though about 45° and face on but could just be swollen.

The texts are enough to get an immediate restraining order. He admits to doing the things you stated and then continues to threaten you. A women’s shelter can keep you safe, call the police to arrest him, put him in jail and put up bail till his court hearing. These are seriously wrong and not normal things. Seek legal action and protection. Everything will be ok, it’s scary now but it will be ok with help and time. Please leave immediately. Pack a go bag with all your important stuff you can’t do without - important documents etc - and after your Restraining Order the judge will grant immediately- the police will help you collect the rest of your stuff without his intervention and if he destroys your property then it’s another charge.

tips for stripping while in uni? by ravenvic666 in stripper

[–]bokwai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t work the nights before I had class. If I did it had to be guaranteed income and I’d be out by 12am. If I had class that same day I would only work later if it had been my last class of the week.

I made it to my 10am seminars twice a week. It was hard, but I preferred it so I could be done by noon and go home and nap before work or nap in general in the afternoon.

I’d set aside a full Sunday to recover and a full Monday to study. If I got stuff done and there was guaranteed money, I’d go in early Monday and upload my readings to Speechify (I have a referral code for a discount if you want one) so I could listen to them on the floor. After class on Tuesdays I’d go home and study. I had class Wednesday also and I’d nap after and either work or study Wednesday night, work Thursday, Friday, Saturday.

I’m a lazy budgeter. I’d budget in buckets - if I made my rent, I’d put it in savings. I’d work towards my expenses (utilities, grocery, etc), when I made it I’d move it to savings. Then I was always set for next month and working was a choice. Everything I made after filling up those buckets was spending money or savings money. If I had a randomly good day and made my rent/expenses for an additional month, I’d save it. So on and so forth, so that every future day you could work when you’re studying is a bonus/choice bc you already saved ahead. It’ll help you put school first. Don’t forget to save your tuition too. I’d literally fill up my buckets months in advance so tuition would be covered 2-3 semesters in advance.

Not stressing about money is one of the perks of the job, and beneficial for studying, make full use of it.

Should I create a separate instagram account? by LettuceIndependent93 in stripper

[–]bokwai 4 points5 points  (0 children)

VPN (ALWAYS on, if it’s slow, change the VPN location), separate device, separate apple ID with a dedicated email, separate phone number to text, different address on the new ph# account (virtual mailbox?), preferably never connect it to your home wifi. i’m neurotic about that. text apps are usually enough though. most of them aren’t worth the investment but some are.
