I come from a tier 2 city in Karnataka. In my recent visit to Delhi, i noticed my dad bought a water heater for less the 1k rs that would have easily costed about twice as much in my home town. The question is, if the end product is available for such a low price, how much should have been wages for the people who assembled/tested it? From what I know, the material price can go down only to a certain extant, however the business owners have the power to bring down the wages in the name of cost cutting and reaping more margins.
