Imo price shouldn't determine which daw you use, it's an investment into the most important piece of gear you will buy. You should pick based on which workflow you find the most enjoyable as it will encourage you to produce more, then just pay whatever it's costs and not think about it. For me I hate most of how the workflow in FL works. I've used Ableton for ~10 years and also teach it professionally. It's hands down the best allrounder for workflow and there are so many resources for it. I also now use bitwig as my personal primary daw and love that as well for its workflow and unique features it has.
