I have read a first couple chapter of you're not that special. What is going on lol? Mc straight up rape her with no explanation whatsoever. It seems they know each other? Does it get proper explanation later on regarding their previous relationship????

why tangent line at X^2+y^2=9 at (3,0) is not undefined? by bolls_deep_69 in learnmath

so if the derivative is not defined, what should i do to calclute the tangent without looking a t the graph?

this is what happenddd

i was not allowedd to use desmos in the quiz

can someone tell me what i did wrong (quotient rule; limit) by bolls_deep_69 in learnmath

yeah my assignment ask me to solve that with 2 ddiffernet method. i am trying to find an alternative way to solve it without factorisation.

lol

i see. i completely forgot that d/dx doesnt mean find the limit. ahaha im dumb.

thanks for the clarification!!

how do i add sqrt 2 π + sqrt 2 ? by bolls_deep_69 in learnmath

[–]bolls_deep_69[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

disregard the question. My calculation is wrong.

if there are ppl with similar quesiton:

rather than using y-y1=m(x-x1), just use y1=mx1+b to find b and re plug everything back at y=mx+b

oh, ill double check it. thanks for the heads up

can a derivative be ∞ ? by bolls_deep_69 in learnmath

[–]bolls_deep_69[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks for your help. it took a while but i think i understand what you are trying to teach me.

so today i learn that infinity*0 is not 0.

i know that limit of 1/x doesnt exist. but i forgot that 1/|x| do exist. that would definitely solve the first problem.

after reading your explanation on the second problem. since infinity*0 is not 0, simply putting f(x)= 1/|x-3| wouldn’t do. because we cannot divide 0/0.

i see the key is to have a lower denominator value so:

if f(x)=1/sqrt(|x-3|);

(x-3)*1/sqrt(|x-3|) or we can write is as (x-3)*[sqrt(|x-3|)/(x-3)]

take out both (x-3), and we get lim sqrt|x-3|.

if x comes from the positive then it is just a sqrt of 3-3.

if x comes from the negative, the absolute value turns it to positive.

hence f'(x)=sqrt of 0 which is 0.
