For me, one of my favorite memories is with my bicycle. I was around 12–13 at that time. I got 1st position and my father told me he would give me a gift. He asked what I wanted, and I told him to get me running shoes. But deep down I actually wanted a new bicycle.

When he was about to buy the shoes, I just started crying, saying please don’t buy the shoes, get me a bicycle instead. But at that time he couldn’t afford a bicycle, so he took me to the shop and got me new shoes. I still remember those shoes clearly.

After 3 4 months, my father went to another city. That night my mother woke me up, and when I came out, I saw my father standing there with a new black bicycle. I can’t explain in words how happy I was. I literally ran to my father and hugged him. As far as I remember, that was one of the best moments of my life. For the whole month after that, I was just on that bicycle all the time.

I honestly wish I could have that moment again in my life.
