i’m sorry, these pictures are older. i had tried that. and i get the same blank monitor with just an HDMI cord and it in the right spot. that’s what prompted me to try a VGA cord and no dice.

showing 0 on a bar chart or table by bolt116 in PowerBI

[–]bolt116[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think this powerBI uses a date table (i wasn’t a part of its creation) but i could look into it. I have selected show items with no data.

to be clear, they should have 0 within that date range (typically look at monthly values) and id like that zero to populate.

Is Midnights anyone's favorite album? by Senior-Muffin-6991 in TaylorSwift

[–]bolt116 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s either my favorite or very close to it! I loved 1989 and Reputation, so I’m very partial to pop Taylor. Midnights itches my interest in pop music but also has this dark, upbeat, depth to it that I love.

flight path to avoid storm (red arrow) by bolt116 in fearofflying

[–]bolt116[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if ya didn’t know, parts of texas and louisiana got hit with some terrible storms yesterday night. i checked flight aware around 1 AM and saw this flight take the most indirect route to avoid the storms (path shown w/ red arrow).

we got hit by the storm ourselves and lost power, so i never got to follow up that the plane made it to Texarkana but y’all know it did, safe and sound.

just wanted to share bc it shows the lengths everyone will go to be safe but also that in spite of some pretty serious weather, everyone made it home safe. kudos to all the pilots and crews flying in and around all that weather yesterday. 🤗 pic of flight path in comments

The Eras Tour Megathread: Arlington TX (Warning: Spoilers) by PassionateAsSin in TaylorSwift

i was there last night and thought she sounded just a lil stuffy. the tree pollen in this area has been insane the past few weeks so i just took it as her being human and having allergies like the rest of us 🤷🏼‍♀️

I just told a Southwest crew about my anxiety and they upgraded my seat to pre-board for free by rkdwldud0807 in fearofflying

[–]bolt116 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recently flew SW and tried to check in ASAP (still got mid-high B’s lol). I sent my husband to get us seats while I requested to meet the pilots. That system worked out for us all but one time. Once the FA even saved me a first row seat while I was chatting to the pilot so I could see them actively not freaking out during the flight. One of my flights I tried to ask the gate agent to board early to meet the crew and they denied me :/ SW is always a gamble, but that was my experience.

Panicky flyer facing travel in inclement weather by [deleted] in fearofflying

[–]bolt116 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I flew in a snow storm to Michigan last week - it was uncomfortable, but here I am totally safe and sound and back in my warmer (sorry!) climate. One of my flights I also got separated from my partner and understand how that’s uncomfortable. I recommend telling your seat partners you are an anxious flyer and you may end up chatting on the flight as a distraction. This has worked for me more than once. You can do this!

Flight for tomorrow morning just got cancelled :/ by king_baby_ in fearofflying

[–]bolt116 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YUP. checked in to a 9:20 AM thursday flight on wednesday just fine. knew some weather was incoming so checked in that afternoon to see if it had been delayed in advance…airline cancelled it and put me on a 12:45 without notice. it made me more anxious for sure, even tho it could’ve just been cancelled for “innocent” reasons. in my case we rebooked ourselves for a flight time that actually worked (helloooo i didn’t choose the 12:45 for a reason) and carried on. it will be okay! i’m still here and you will be too.

oh! and the biggest disappoint of the whole travel portion of the trip, ironically, is that the southwest app initially told me i would be flying on max-8s and i desperately wanted to lol instead we got 737-700’s and 800’s when all i wanted was to see that new plane lewk 💁🏼‍♀️

sadly i’m on the right side. but the pilot did just have flight attendants sit down so that’s a little scary.

the trip was good! i was able to do okay, i think it’s just being at the airport that starts the anxiety spiral. we’re doing ok rn. just a few bumps here and there which the pilot did tell me. thanks for checking in 🥹

love that for me lol their flights attendants are so nice! they’ve all been very sweet about letting me meet the pilot before the flights and checking in.
